He alone mastered the Rinnegan. ( Awakened. he's the first person since the sage to awaken the Rinnegan.. )
He's been 'Alive' longer than anyone else in the manga ( Oldest HUMAN ), sitting in a cave plotting for 50+ years.

Him & Hashirama are just of a different league to this generation. They didn't NEED tailed beasts to be power houses.

He also provides us with hilarious quotes.

no he's not, he got all his knowledge from the uchiha stone tablet which hashirama showed him, orochimaru and kabuto are both more wise than him since they can't even read the thing and still figured the majority of it out. Madara was just lucky hashirama even bothered to show him the tablet. without it he'd know next to nothing.

yea, info that came from Hashi and the uchiha stone first hand, put orochimaru and kabuto in a room with that tablet and I bet they'd end up knowing more than madara, because they have true wisdom, madara is just going off of what he was shown.

You my friend have confused intelligence for wisdom. Madara is extreamly inteligent but wise he is far from. The wise do not start wars to further there own selfish arrogant plans. Exampels of wise charachters would be itachi,kakashi,hiruzen,hashirama,and garra(after he grew up a bit)

Hashirama ain't showed Madara shit. Are really serious when you say this? Madara SHOWED Hashirama's the tablet. Why would Hashirama, a senju, show Madara Uchiha, LEADER of the Uchiha clan, his own clan's secrets?

Anyway I agree Madara is the wisest character in the manga. Him and Itachi really do seem like the more mature, knowledgeable types.... Rather than the crybabies, Obito and Sasuke.
