Most people want to live their lives as simple as what you said.
But it's the society to be blamed to put pressure on us.
Even most individuals in the society would want to lead a simple happy life.
But as they say " Life is an illusion albeit a persistent one " we are just illusioned by the luxurious lives of some other's.

If humans had no other interaction with humans, we'd go insane.. no matter how strong willed someone is. Depending on one's mental strength and willpower, it would be a matter of when.. not if.

OT: No, anyone who says otherwise is fooling themselves.

Idk if it wasn't for technology much of the problems were having today wouldnt exist. People have confirmed to the idea that technology should solve almost everyone of our problems. Like lets take for example the air conditioner and what that has done to our society. People spend the majority of their lives inside their houses and not enjoy going outside. I mean have you ever worked so hard outside that you wish for a breeze of air and when you get it its the best damn breeze in the world. It ddnt matter that it ddnt last for an hour all you needed was a second of air and you could keep on working. An air conditioner is not necessary in this world imo
This reminded me of last summer when I was working. :yeah:

OT: I know a man who lives in the forest (total wilderness) alone. Well, he has his wolfs (Yeah, he domesticated three wolfs) and other animals but he barely speak with any human beings. Again, I repeat he lives in the place where there are no people, only animals. We visit him once a month to bring him some supplies, but it's not like he can't live without these things that we bring to him.
He lives like this since the end of war in my country ( 14 years ).

I couldn't live like that.

What type of work did you do?

I used to pick asparagus in Minnesota of the US. Also I've done other manual labor but asparagus sure was the toughest.

Coming from a mexican family I have learned to live without a lot of luxuries like how to farm and tend to animals. It is pretty easy and relaxing but you need people to enjoy that with. Doing it alone....isn't like people make it out to be. If I had a couple of friends who wanted to live off the land then I would be all for it and give up technology. It is amazing and something people should try once in their lives.

Don't know am I going to translate this correctly, but... I was mowing a huge meadow with friends from work, and the day after that we collected the grass.
We were only helping a friend who worked jobs like that all summer two days, and I was really grateful when I returned to my original job which was hard but compared to that... it was piece of cake.

I'm actually looking to see if I could live like that too. Raising and a riding a horse is truly a unique skill. Where do you live, if you don't mind me asking

No,whats the point of life if there are not people around you to appreciate you, encourage you and acknowledge you.
its because of people around us that we don't give up on life easily.

I thrive off the interaction of others. I could never be alone. Sure I would live but I am sure my mental state would go and maybe at that point I would no longer care or know that I was alone. The country life sounds nice as its far from noisy cities and its a lot more quiet but I could only live like that for so long before i craved the noise and chaos of the city.
