I see arguments for both.
On the one hand, it is doubtful Sasori's kunais can pierce Domu.
On the other, he can poison Kakuzu.
Meanwhile, how can Kakuzu rip Sasori's heart?

Alright listen, pardon if i don't use scans at first...
If we go by the feats he showed via the Sakura fight..its not even really a contest...that fact that people are saying Sasori...
His wide spread IS variants that utilize speed can be blocked via Full Body Domu....And the larger ones can be punched back just like sakura did via an IS Fist,
Meanwhile Kakuzu's hearts can spread and fire jutsu at sasori that would Turn his core to ash (Katon +Fuuton)
Or just rip right through it ( Raiton)
.....Not to mention Kakuzu's tendrils can extract the core making it an easy target for jutsu...However i'd suppose he'd need to see this...
So most likely the wide ranging jutsu would kill him.

Disregarding Kazekage puppet and 100 puppets i see. You think kakazu has the reflexes and speed to react to iron sand?? Not a chance in hell. His hearts jutsu get blocked by iron sand and destroyed by iron sand. Since they are hearts the poison will also affect the hearts.

Also Kakuzu's Speed> Sakura's Stated in the DB... Doesn't matter if she was being controlled by Chiyo she reacted and punched the IS Great gathering by her self...
Also take a look at Kakuzu's arc again..notice he has some pretty good reaction feats..such as Reacting to Kakashi's Raikiri
One blast of Kakuzu's fuuton ends that pathetic excuse for a jutsu lol

He resorted to Earth spear for a explosive kunai which means he had no time to evade that attack. Sakura is based on evasion where as kakazu isn't. What he needs reflex time for is to dodge the iron sand. If kakazu is in the same predicament as sakura when it came to dodging the iron spikes then him and his hearts dont stand a fighting chance at that stage. The speed feats we saw in the Immortal akatsuki arc isn't helping him inn this fight.
Pathetic?? Sasoris sand was able to size with the akatsuki hideout cove!

Pathetic was directed towards the 100 puppet jutsu...
Evasion isn't needed here...>.> Again he blocks the IS Bullets and Spears with Full Body Domu
And knocks back the larger variants with this

Did you read back what you wrote? Your saying his Earth spear deflects iron sand away from him? If he were to active it: it wouldn't deflect anything and he would have to be standing completely still leaving as a sitting duck. I would say evasion is very much so necessary. Anyway how long can he keep that jutsu up for? He will eventually have to break out of it, assuming he's not dead already

And then he moves out of it, as it would be barely touching his skull....In fact ...
If you tried to stab a perfectly round object made out of metal with say...a butter knife what happens?
The force continues on and slides down the sphere ending up next to the object...the same could happen here tbh
