[Discussion] Burgess vs Luffy

Who do you think is the stronger one between the 2? BB is totally confident on Burgess victory yet he thought he was no match for Ace. Did he improve that much, or was Ace simply that much of a monster? Is he underestimating Luffy that much? I know he is a careless guy, but i don't think

Anyway what are your thoughts?

I dont think Luffy is ready to take on the commanders of the Yonko. After he defeats Doffy he might be strong enough to defeat people like Jozu, Vista and Burgess.

I feel that Luffy will beat everyone (including Burgess) but one person, for some reason Idk why, maybe because that person is stronger or that Luffy is tired after the rest of his fights. Anyways he's going to get the winner to join his team.

I hope and think that Luffy > Burgess

well before the TS BB said that burgess can't handle ace witch means burgess was one the same level luffy was

so luffy's progress put him above burgress

and with BB being this clumsy !!!!! i don't see him or his crew stand a chance against the other yonko

don't get me wrong he has two of the strongest DF if not the strongest but he just don't know how to use them right

Why are people like you overestimating BlackBeard and the Blackbeard Pirates?Before the time skip they were nothing and even after Blackbeard took WhiteBeard Devil Fruit he still ran from Akainu.Out of all the Yonkos pirate crews, the Blackbeard Pirates are probably the weakest.Being the commander of the Blackbeard pirates doesn't somehow put you on a level of a commander of the others Yonko Pirates crews or one of the Shichibukai, Buggy not included.Luffy beating Burgess wouldn't be as big a deal as you are making it out to be.Luffy beating the vice commander of one of the other Yonkos pirate crews would be.

People are really underestimating Yonko commanders. Burgess was far stronger than luffy pre-timeskip. He might not have been on Ace's level, but that doesnt mean he was on Luffy's level either. Look at BB's confidence in Burgess winning the tournament even though there are people like Diamante and Luffy participating that alone means Burgess is crazy strong. BB is not the guy to underestimate someone, he always plans everything carefully. Dont get me wrong, I dont think Burgess destroys Doffy, but I think he high/xhigh diffs him. So he is stronger, but just by a small margin.

Okay seriously just because Burgess is a commander for Blackbeard it doesn't make him all that...the only reason that Blackbeard is classed as a Yonko is because of Blackbeard himself not his crew I mean the man's top 5 strength wise at the moment...

If Burgess does beat Luffy I'll be really disappointed in Luffy's strength growth as right now Blackbeard is far stronger than any of his crew mates.

The only way I see Burgess beating Luffy is if he has some hax DF like Marco's or something, if not Luffy should be able to beat him mid/high-diff.
