No, Sasuke needs answers prior to that. He still may have encountered Kabuto, who still would have choice words for him, using Itachi's name and history as fuel.

Well first of all the fight between 3rd Hokage and Orochimaru would've had a different ending. Not to mention some events when the Jutsu was created by the 2nd, we don't know if he used it and for what purpose and what if he didn't use it what would have been the consequences.

And if 3rd would have completely sealed Oro, then Sasuke would have no where to go to in order to "pursue power".
