[Discussion] Rebecca not as weak as we thought?

Most of us think that Rebecca isnt that strong after he little skirmish with Luffy, but the latest chapter begs the differ.

Rebecca is undefeated in the colloseum and she won all her matches without wounding anyone!! That is an impressive feat if you ask me. On top of that she has atleast Kenbonshoku Haki and because of that it wouldnt be strange if she also has Busoshoku Haki. She is back in the game for new nakama IMO.

Also Violet is out of the picture for nakama I guess...?

Violet fits the bill better. She has a very useful ability. Rebecca probably won't join because she will be the new leader of Dressrosa after DD. Similar to what happened with Vivi. But yeah, she has KH, that's impressive, seeing only 3 strawhats have demonstrated haki so far.

I am sure she still has a role to play in the story. She might head back to help. Let's see how it goes. This isn't the last we'll see of her, on the contrary. You can count on it.

Nah, that was just a convenient lie. DonFlamingo never quitted as a Shichibukai which means he is still connected with the marines (he joined forces with Fujitora) and thus with the government. Violet being able to find a trustworthy person in the government to take her away from the island and DonFlamingo's reach is a little too farfetched for me.
Not to mention that she already turned around and heading to the palace.

So on topic, yes Rebecca isn't weak it's just too far away from Luffy's league. Demonstrating a type of haki (as Luffy suggested) is an impressive and useful feat. But I don't believe that qualifies her to be the next strawhat member.

Luffy's nakamas aren't based on power and Rebecca has many reason to stay behind. That being said, Violet is not out of the question to became a new member since her past is still unknown, as are the reasons behind her actions. At this point she is the one who can't safely stay on this island or doesn't seem to have any good reason (expect opposing to DD) to continue living there.
