When Obito was seeing that alternate timeline where he accepted Rin's death and forgave Kakashi and went on to become Hokage. I feel so bad for Obito, his childhood self was like the most pure and ambitious character in the series. Anyone else find this moment extremely sad?

yea. was the spitting image of naruto. well vice versa.

OT: i don't necessarily feel sad, because i mean, he wasn't strong enough mentally. can't blame the world for your problems. but i do think its messed up that there was no one to save him from falling this far.

Well I found it interesting, it basically shows that if Obito had gone back his dream of being Hokage would have come true, his current situation is his own doing. Basically he is a broken man, (figuratively and in the latest chapter literally), because of his own choices.

I think it is meant to show that Naruto was right.

Yes it was tragic how his situation could've been completely different.

But It was also great because it just added more depth to obito's already complex character.

I thought it was tragic as well. This kind of thing really makes you hate bastards like Madara.

well with in every good person their is always a slight piece of darkness vice versa. That was probably the last bit of good in him getting its own flash back. I predict TNJ in the next chapeter, then on to Madara!!!

I'm with you guys that he brought it on himself and it's what makes his good character so deep and tragic.
I'm in the almost shedding a tear club as well =D

Damn, ice cold. What didn't you like about it? I thought it was near perfect personally

It was very sad, and I have a feeling that when the entire arc or at least a group of chapters are read together... It only gets sadder.

On a side note; Anyone else realize Naruto chapters that previously were boring become significantly more entertaining when read in groupings?

I have found that that is always how it goes. People complain about a chapter but then later on they say, oh so that's why Kishi wrote that chapter.

And after that, they'll realise how great a writer Kishimoto is

OT: Yep, I found it sad, proves that Naruto is always right

I have been saying that for ages, these chapters are a part of a volume, it makes more sense as a volume ...... Unlike Western Comic which can sometimes makes sense in 3 panels.
