We've seen One Piece's unusual art style that Oda uses for his characters. Often characters are quite large (BB, WB), their proportions are unusual (Boa Sisters other than Hancock), characters are to round, and so on. I've seen many people say they won't go near it because of the 'stupid art'.

Would you have preferred it if One Piece was slightly more realistic in terms of the character designs? I certainly think it would have a bit more popular. I, for one, did find the art a bit weird initially.

I am not gonna lie,it was a turn off for me at first

But honestly now I feel it adds alot to the series and its better for it to stay like this
Just one more thing that makes OP so unique

I know, right? It adds to the series? I guess it's a matter of perspective...

Its not that standard art style and it basicly makes One Piece stand out a bit more at the start.
Now if thats a good thing or a bad thing its up to the person to decide

I feel like it boosts up the humorus parts of the show without hurting the serious parts since evreyone still looks boss when they need to.

No, IMO this was prob. a smart move on Oda's part. By having an art differentiation from the generic/realistic manga drawings, it helped OP to have a certain charm/uniqueness that no manga can imitate.

And IMO the more unique a series is, the more successful it will/can be.

I like Oda's style. He makes the main character the midget of the series and then makes these huge guys that tower over him. I like it this way. Makes the series more unique.

Though i feel like having these huge characters is a turn off for people that are trying to get into One piece. They probably think it's too "kiddy" for them.

I love Oda's art style and hope it stays the same.

I think that if it weren't for Oda's art style some of the things within OP would look silly or absurd. Can you imagine Ichigo as a rubber man? With his limbs stretching and shiz? Or even shambles, you would literally have to make it look like an indistinguishable cloud of parts or something, I mean can you imagine Naruto separating into definable human limbs? It would look weird. The smooth smooth fruit, and so on.

Yeah even the admirals/warlords are freaking tall. Doffy is like 10 feet tall. Holy shet.

LOL Doflamingo is like the same height as Aokiji when he's slouching.

Oda sure loves adding leg hair/chest hair to his characters. Again, something that we don't see so often in manga/anime.

No. I think it's a defining factor in Oda's style. It separates him from the rest and gives him the chance of making any character look the way it wants without it feeling out of place.

No, IMO it's the best art in all of manga. Gives alot of variation.

But I often find the serious or emotional scenes a joke since you see the characters crying humorously or all the snot hanging down from their nose, like when Ace and Luffy bid goodbye to Dadan or Usopp rejoining the crew.
