reason #1.

He needs to be a living body to become the Jinchuuriki. Only person that can give him that is obito and that requires obito to die. It's been foreshadowed a million times that naruto will be the one to stop obito, not madara.

reason number #2.

Obito is more plot relevant than madara is.

Obito is relevant to 3 main characters. [ naruto, Sasuke, kakashi]

Madara is not relevant to any main character.


reason #3.

Kishi will not have another juubi's jinchuuriki because that would be just plain bad writing. Kishi has showed us many times that he doesn't like to spam techniques or powers on characters except naruto [rasengan].


reason #4.

Madara is not powerful enough to even touch juubito. Even with madara controlling hashirama, He doesn't stand a chance specially since Obito knows his own weakness and will be on guard.


reason #5.

it's obvious that madara's trump card will fail, otherwise The moon's eye plan will succeed if he becomes the juubi's jinchuuriki.


Madara will attempt his trump card, fail and then he will either fight the 5 kage's again or fight sasuke leaving a final Obito vs naruto fight.

No it's not failing. If you remember it was madara who controlled obito too make him a jinchuriki. He thought there was no.hope at till hahsirama showed up then he had another plan if madara gets sage mode n has rinnegan his knowledge n sage strength will be enough too get obito. He just needs too do it before he obito realizes what he's doing
