Does anyone miss the old Naruto where everything was simple, like in the chunin exam. I like fights where theres Strategy involved like in the Naruto vs Neji fight in the chunin exam. Lately I feel this manga has turned into a DBZ copy. In DBZ you have lots of explosions and stuff, the same is happening in right now in Naruto.

Also a Ninjas is meant to be silent but deadly like in part 1 Naruto. A great example was the Zabuza arc. Everything involved strategy but now its all about blowing things up with the tailed beasts and the Sharingan.

I'm not hating on the series or anything but I would prefer fights like the one in part one rather than the fights that are happening right now.:

Everything felt more close quartered in part 1, I enjoyed that. Things honestly felt more tense for me, but oh well.

Naruto is a copy of DBZ. Why do you think it's called the new DBZ?

Most of Part 1 was really the same as Part 2 in structure truthfully. Really the only strategic "Part 1" moments were in times like Shikamaru and the Land of Waves. Other than that it was the exact same as now, only less destructive.

I still don't understand how people say Part 1 was all strategy when it really wasn't...

It's probaly because there were less OP techniques in Part 1 so everyone had to fight smart. Now all you have to do is make sure your most OP jutsu lands and that's the end of the fight.

There were only instances of thinking smart in like just 4 fights of all Part 1. Two of them were from Shikamaru the smart one. Really none of the fights in Part 1 had much strategy.

I feel the exact same way. The Zabuza arc was amazing but by the time they got to the Sasuke Retrieval arc Kishimoto just said **** it. If you're really interested in a manga that has ninja fight the way they used to then you should check out Basilisk.
