Chapter 3 A New Friend
Narrator: then out of the bushes flew a Starly, Adam then took out his Pokedex.
Pokedex: “Starly a bird type Pokémon, that is individually weak but they usually found in groups.”
Adam: okay time to catch myself a Pokémon I choose you Chimchar use flamethrower now.
Narrator: Chimchar then used flamethrower on Starly lucky for Adam he had caught Starly off guard and flamethrower was a direct hit.
Adam: go poke ball.
Narrator:Adam then waited a few seconds to see if he had succeeded in catching his first Pokémon, and He had.
Adam: come on out Starly and welcome to the team.
Starly: “Starly”
Narrator: Adam and Chimchar where happy to have a new friend, they then made their way to the spot where Aurora should be. As Adam was making his way to Aurora he saw another trainer heading towards the Pokémon centre and not far behind them he saw Aurora heading for him.
Adam: hey Aurora over here!
Narrator: Aurora then started heading towards Adam.
Aurora: great timing Adam I thought I would come see how you were doing.
Adam: well training went well but I have something to show you I have a new friend see, come on out Starly.
Aurora: ah I see you have a new friend welcome to the team Starly, well lets head to this towns Pokémon centre; we will let our Pokémon out then.
Adam: Return Starly, let go Aurora.
Narrator: As they were walking through the town Aurora notice there was a Pokémon contest poster up.
Aurora: Well I am going to enter that
Adam: I will be cheering for you any way we better get you registered for it.
Aurora: good Idea lets head to the Pokémon centre.
Narrator: it does not take them long to get to the Pokémon centre.
Adam: we should probably call home first before we give our Pokémon to Nurse Joy.
Aurora: yeah good idea.
Narrator: they then made the phone call
“Ring Ring”
Anthea: hey you two hey Ethan come here.
Ethan: hello Adam & Aurora
Aurora & Adam hey Mum hey Ethan.
Anthea: I see you have made it to next town Pokémon centre, so have you caught any new Pokémon.
Adam: yeah I caught a Starly.
Aurora: I caught a Ducklett.
Ethan: can we see them
Adam come on out Starly
Aurora: you to Ducklett
Anthea: they look well and it’s good to see you both are doing well as well.
Adam: so how is everyone else mum?
Anthea: everyone is fine dad and Natsume are in town
Aiden: actually I am back Natsume will be back later you may have to call back later to say hi to her she is in the middle of battling someone at the gym.
Anthea: your back
Adam & Aurora: hey dad
Aurora: okay we may call back again later.
Aiden: hey you two it’s good to see you have caught a new Pokémon each.
Aurora: I will be entering this towns contest wish me luck mum.
Anthea: that is great dear I will watch you on TV good luck dear I hope you do well.
Aurora: thanks Mum
Adam: my Gym battle is in the next town.
Aiden: I hope you do well my son
Adam: I will do my best dad.
Anthea: well it was good of you both to call
Aiden: yes it was.
Anthea: okay you we talk to you both again later, if not take care you two.
Adam we may call before heading to bed.
Aiden: okay I will let Natsume know, and as you mother said take care.
Narrator: they then finished saying their goodbyes and went up to talk to Nurse Joy.
Adam: Nurse Joy
Nurse Joy: yes
Aurora: can you please take care of our Pokémon.
Nurse joy: sure just leave them with me.
Aurora: Nurse Joy where do I register for the Pokémon contest.
Nurse Joy: you can register right here or where the contest is being held.
Aurora: I think I should register here
Nurse Joy: very well
Narrator: Nurse joy then took her Pokedex and registered Aurora for the Pokémon contest.
Nurse Joy: the contest starts at 10am tomorrow I will see you there & good luck.
Narrator: then five minutes later another trainer walks in.
Unknown: I would like to register for the Pokémon contest please.
Nurse Joy: sure I can register you here
Aurora: I wonder who they are we have run in to that trainer four times now maybe we should introduce our selves Adam.
Adam: okay then let’s go say hi
Narrator: they then walked over to the trainer
Aurora: hi
Adam: hi
Unknown: hi, it’s nice to meet you both
Aurora: we have seen you four times now so we thought we would come say hi so what is your name, my name is Aurora and this is my brother Adam.
Unknown: I see any way my name is Byran
Aurora: I see you are entering the Pokémon contest like I am
Byran: so you’re entering as well, well good luck.
Aurora: good luck to you to Byran
Nurse Joy: you both have to choose what Pokémon you are going to use by tomorrow morning an hour before the contest let me know here, oh and Adam and Aurora here are your Pokémon
Aurora: thank you nurse joy
Adam: thank you Nurse Joy.
Byran: thanks for the information Nurse joy
Adam: so what are going to do now?
Byran: why don’t we have a Pokémon battle Aurora and your brother can be the ref.
Aurora: you okay with that Adam
Adam: sure why not
Aurora: I wanted to give my Ducklett some training this maybe a good way to start it off.
Narrator: They then went outside to start there Pokémon battle.
Byran: how about a three on three match
Aurora: one problem I only have two right now.
Byran: well I guess it will have to be two on two match then.
Adam: okay let’s get this battle underway then.
Aurora: I choose you Ducklett
Byran: I choose you Treecko.
Narrator: Adam then took out his Pokedex.
“Treecko is a small, green, bipedal reptilian Pokémon. It has yellow eyes with long, narrow pupils. Treecko's hands and feet each have three digits covered with tiny spikes. These spikes allow it to scale vertical walls with ease. Its stomach and throat are red. It also has a line across on its stomach resembling a pouch. Treecko has a large, dark green tail with two separate lobes that it uses to sense humidity. This ability allows it to predict the next day's weather”.
Byran: Treecko use quick attack
Aurora: Ducklett you use wing attack.
Narrator: ten mins had passed since the start of the battle and as they were calling out moves to there Pokémon Byran managed a direct hit and then as the dust cleared Adam announced the outcome.
Adam: Ducklett is unable to battle Treecko wins
Aurora: Ducklett take a good rest, Oshawott I choose you.
Byran: Return Treecko, I choose you Taillow.
Narrator: Adam once again got out his Pokedex.
“Talliow: is a small bird Pokémon with dark blue feathers and patches of red on its chest and forehead. The patch on its forehead has a triangular upper tip It has narrow brown eyes and a short yellow beak. It has elongated wingtips, and the underside of the wings is white. It has two sharp tail feathers, and its black feet have yellow claws.
It flies over 180 miles per day when it migrates during the cold season to search for warm climates. It is very gutsy, and will stand up to powerful opponents without backing down. When it is hungry, it will weaken and cry loudly”.
Aurora: Oshawott use Water gun
Byran: doge that and use peck.
Narrator: another ten minutes had passed and Oshawott and Taillow where looking exhausted so Aurora and Byran called out their final moves:
Byran: Taillow use quick attack
Aurora: Oshawott use razor shell
Narrator: Oshawott and Taillow collided both Aurora and Byran waited the results & as the dust cleared up Adam once again announced the outcome.
Adam: Taillow is unable to battle Oshawott wins.
Byran: Take a good rest Taillow
Aurora you to Oshawott
Byran: well I guessed we tied I guess we will settle this at the contest.
Aurora: I guess we will
Adam: It’s getting late now we have to call it a night, but first we will have to call home again.
Aurora: yeah we better to that now.
Byran: I better do the same.
Narrator: they then headed inside to call home.
“Ring Ring”
Natsume: hello
Aurora: hey Natsume
Adam: hey Natsume
Natsume hey you two I see you are both doing well.
Adam: dad said you had a challenger at the gym today how did that go.
Natsume: it was tough they almost defeated me but I just managed to win they going to come back tomorrow and try again, so do you have any new Pokémon.
Adam: yeah I caught a Starly.
Aurora: I caught a Ducklett, I would let see Ducklett but we just finished a Pokémon battle, I should give them to nurse joy now.
Adam: I can show you mine now though come on out Starly.
Natsume: well done to you both on catching your first Pokémon and its okay
Aurora how did your first battle go.
Aurora it ended in a tie.
Adam: well we should give your Pokémon to nurse joy Aurora then while you wait for them I may get some training in.
Natsume: well take care you two it was nice of you both to call
Aurora: night Natsume
Adam: yeah good night Sis, we call again soon say hi to mum, dad and Ethan for us.
Natsume: I will
Narrator:they then hang up and Aurora then headed to the Pokémon centre desk.
Aurora: Nurse Joy can you take care of my Pokémon.
Nurse Joy: Yes I will take good care of them
Narrator:as Aurora was waiting for her Pokémon Adam went outside to train with his Pokémon.
