After episode 100 it goes FAR BEYOND Naruto.
The plot is more complex after episode 300 than Naruto is now. Considering Naruto has 500+ episodes it's clearly a more in depth and better made and thought out plot.

That's really good to hear, I'm really excited to get further in this show. Luffy is already much more likeable than Naruto imo. I hated Naruto in part 1, though it might be hard for me to enjoy OP more than Naruto for the simple fact that Naruto has Sasuke and he's my favorite anime character ever..but we'll see
Yeah but I'm pretty sure DBZ and Naruto are more popular worldwide. But I see your point, that's why I have t check it out. My best friend keeps telling me that the story is on a really large scale too, I'm gonna catch up to the manga as quickly as possible
In my honest opinion, the plot is better executed than what happened on Naruto. The author did a better job of "showing the world" to the reader.
Think of the world of Naruto and what it probably has. Think of what it has and Kishimoto isn't showing us. Corruption? Politics? Insanity due to having kids on the military? Drugs because of the pressure of being a ninja? Yeah... One Piece did that better than Naruto, which caused it to be considered more mature. But it still isn't impressive. Many other mangas have much more in terms of plot, but they are generally much shorter.
It's a fun manga. The art is also very interesting...

For me One Piece is the lamest manga/anime. It has no real depth to it like most manga's and most of the techniques don't really revolve around a common system.

Hmm, well depends on ones taste. But many of the fights in One Piece are much longer, more complex, and well One Piece has the kind of universe, where any ability is possible. There are some few issues with certain abilities, but not something that is a problem for the actual story.
Also there are so many abilities, which comes in during the story, which are quite fascinating.
Also typically you have 1 enemy for almost each member of the crew. So you keep following a lot of different fights of different levels. It takes more time, but it's more interesting. Naruto is not so much like that, and the fights are faster. I mean just see how fast Naruto beat 5 tailed beasts right after getting Kuybi mode... A fight that could have been quite interesting to see more of, instead we are stuck with plot talking chapters, that could have been crunched together to a single chaper, and then Kishi could just had spent more time on certain fights.
Also the power level is of course quite different. Well lately the power level just completely overscaled in Naruto with all the biju damas, the God tree´, etc. One Piece is at least a bit more humane, although some high scale ability users exist.

I personally think that the fights are better structured! You don't have only one person fighting the world while the rest watches and thinks they play some kind of important role when they basically don't do anything! Naruto mainly focuses on Naruto, he is the person to change the world!
In One Piece its mostly about Friendship! The Strawhats really depend on each other and they all have their fights and moments! They work together like a real Team, each of them is doing the best that they can do ! They don't put all their hopes on one person and hope that he will work his magic or something like that! Rather they stand next to each other side by side and fight! Plus its hilarious! In that aspect its probably even better than Naruto! Also the main character Luffy... I kinda like him better than Naruto! In Naruto I like the "side characters" more!
The only thing that One piece is missing is Romance... so no pairing wars its really friendship only !
