Kami Tenchi (lit meaning. God of Heaven and "Earth") is a deity from Tenchi Muyo!! His strength has been a calamity for ages. It has been debated how strong he really is, but I do hope, this clears up the disfunctions on this site, and I do hope I can convince you why he is the strongest anime character, and no, Goku, Whis or the 12 Gods do not even remotely match up to 0.0001% of his strength.
Let us start with the main part of his powers, virtual and confirmed omnipotence.
Omni (root) is literal term for infinite, and potence is pretty much blatant. Yes, he is infinitely powerful, capable of making anything happen, willing anything into existence, and virtually unstoppable. The main cause of debate for this is the following.
But how is Kami Tenchi an actual omnipotent?
His roots lie in his Human Self, created by him, which is fate. Tenchi Masaki. Tenchi Masaki is the embodiment of Kami Tenchi, the human embodiment. Kami Tenchi's appearance calmed him down from unlocking the almighty potential in him, nearly knocking out the third dimension, which was composed of several 3D universes collapsing upon eachother just by getting angry and ascending. He was the only one capable of stopping his Human Self from this destruction.
Furthermore, a deity in Tenchi Muyo!!, Counter-Actor, was in the midst of destroying the entire region of existence and overcoming it with darkness. The D, cosmic gods with infinite knowledge and intellect, and Chousin with the same power, who essentially created the Multiverse (which is the Tenchi Muyo!! universe, an odd concept but the multiverse is it's existence, in saying they CREATED existence) could not overcome this deity. The only one who could, was the actual deity, Kami Tenchi. In fact, this was the upper prowess they were talking about inside of Tenchi Masaki, the higher power above THEM all. Above THOSE WHO give creation and ABOVE Those who destroy it. If his realm would be entered, even them with near infinite if not infinite knowledge could not discern it and they would die instantly, stated by none other than they themselves. He is a concept, therefore he is abstract, intangible and non-corporeal and concepts cannot be removed.
Kami Tenchi, essentially being on the plane of existence and above all other beings, is omniscient, and has proven such by outsmarting and surprising the Chousin, who know all things about the Multiverse who have nearly infinite pre-cognition as to what is going to happen if not infinite, and that the mere thought of his being, and his dimension alone they could simply not fathom. He is beyond questionable and his word is law. Nothing can change him, nothing will, and he is always there.

I can't deny this question as being logical. What I can deny is mis-judging his power, as people do not even think he is close to this source, which is faulty. How a being is fictionally omnipotent is quite confusing, you can find scans of any practically above level fighter being called omnipotent, ex. Galactus, Odin, Superman, Dark Schneider, the latter. Another high member of his powers. Kami Tenchi is virtually omnipresent. Omnipresence means being effectively existant and existent in every part of creation, always being there and always will be there. Statements such as "Evil around the corner" and "The Power of Love compells all" is an example of omnipresence. He has proven his virtual omnipresence as he managed to easily overcome the Counter-Actor, another being that was effectively omnipresent, and was existing in every center of creation. Only he could de-activate her, not even the chousin, who again if I might be bragging-- ONE of these Chousin and D guys can obliterate the Entire DBZ, Saint Seiya and Bastard!! universe, could manage to even stand on equal playing fields with her. In fact, she was not even in creation at the time she was attacking, he grabbed her out of creation and removed her powers.Omniscience

I'm downright sick of hearing this wanker argument in response to Kami Tenchi vs Someonesfavoriteshow (COUGHDBZ), so I'm going to counter it. YES, TENCHI MASAKI CANNOT CONTROL THE HIGHER POWER THAT LIES INSIDE OF HIM. HO[WEVER, KAMI TENCHI, THE ACTUAL DEITY, IS IN FULL CONTROL OF HIS POWERS AND IS FUNCTIONALLY OMNIPOTENT.TENCHI MASAKI IS NOT OMNIPOTENT, KAMI TENCHI IS.
