This war arc fells more like powerup arc

Sakura got a powerup (don't hate on her plz)
Kabuto got a powerup
Oonoki got a powerup (mental powerup)
Kankuro got a powerup
Itachi got a powerup
Oro got a powerup (absorbed Kabuto and new body for DSM)
Kakashi got a powerup


And possibly more but I can't remember all of them

Would it make sense that Kishi maximizing each characters powers because he is ending the Manga soon and doesn't want loose ends? Best way to finish character developments is to bring back the dead ones (Edo) put them in a war with the alive ones and have them all fight it out while displaying the maximum power. I think Kishi wants to wrap up the characters so these "power ups" you speak of are the way to do it.

People needed power ups to make the fights fun and epic.. and some people didn't get power ups - they just got to show everyone what they can do.. when basic fights didnt give them the chance.

No you don't need that much powerup to make fights fun and epic.

Kakuzu fight
Deidara fight
Sasori fight
Bee vs Sasuke
Sasuke vs Itachi
Jiraya vs pain

All these fights are comparable in terms of epicness if not more than the "fights" in this arc, and this arc already got advantage from powerups. Only fight got me excited was Madara
