[Theory] Blackbeard pirates devil fruit hunting!

NOTE: This theory is partially mine.

The BBP's have been devil fruit hunting during the time skip. And I'm sorry to say this... but I'm worried for the safety of Marco and Jozu. It's possible that they've already had their devil fruit powers taken!

As we know the BBP's have been claiming most of the WBP's territories during the 2 year timeskip. And therefore I believe they've been targeting the WBP's. Teach used to be a part of that crew and took Whitebeards Gura Gura no Mi for himself. And he already stole Thatches uneaten Yami Yami no Mi.

He sent Burgess to Dressrosa to win Aces Mera Mera no Mi. That's a total of three devil fruits from the WBP's!

Now here's the worrying part for all of you WBP fans.
Marco and Jozu will lose their devil fruits (if they haven't already) to Burgess and Shiliew (in the same order).
Allow me to explain:

Marco & Burgess:
Marco the phoenix has the Phoenix devil fruit (likely to be called something like the Tori Tori no Mi Model Phoenix).

Burgess' belt has a phoenix on it : even before the time skip!
I believe this is foreshadowing that it will happen in future and not now because it was present pre timeskip.

Note: Even if the Phoenix on his belt means nothing: Burgess was sent to get the Mera Mera no Mi first. He's the martial artist/wrestler of the BBP's like Sanji is "" of the SHP's.

Hells memories vs Mera Mera no Mi = Fire vs Fire. But because I theorize the Mera Mera no Mi will go to Coby: The Tori Tori no Mi Model Phoenix is a decent alternative as it too uses flames!

Daz questions Zoro on cutting diamond. Which in the eyes of quite a few people I've had related discussions with shows that Zoro will fight Jozu or another user of his Devil fruit. Namely: Shiliew!

I really don't think Marco and Jozu would lose their Fruits that easily. The WB Pirates have a role to play in the New World, that's for sure.

Also, how would they extract the fruit without their captain? BlackBeard's method requires that he "takes in" the fruit, gaining its power. So, they'd have to kill Marco and Jozu otherwise. BB can't just give the powers to his crewmates unless he has the fruit itself :|

i like the burgess theory. but jozus df is more suited to burgess due to their similar fighting style.

Burgees as a pheonix? Damn that thought alone is so bad that I wonder if Oda will really do it. But the theory in general is good. Though I'm not really sure if (after killing the DF user), BB able to give the DF power to any other person except using it by himself.

Aw Marco is my favorite WBP & Vista/Jozu too. I wouldn't mind having Jozu lose his fruit though but not Marco, that's a double slap to WB? That would degrade his fearsome title, don't you think? On the other hand, it would make BB far more dangerous which I guess is more advantageous for the plot purposes. Nice find with the whole Burgess/Marco thing.

I remember awhile back someone saying how Mihawk will be sent to fight BB by the WG cause he is causing ruckus in the NW.There he will be intercepted by Shiliew who wields Jozu's fruit now.As it turns out Mihawk cant quite cut diamond and so he dies.Zoro doesnt get to beat his master and so hunts for Shiliew.He finaly beats him and is the first man to cut diamond

Or Shiliew may just take Mihawk's sword as it's one of the best.

Ace didn't solo anybody. He lost to BB in his weakest state.

There was a time skip and within that time it's clear that they've all become stronger based on what we've seen from Burgess and BB at MF.

Woudnt Haki just negate the Diamond fruit though? Cutting a by DF created Diamond is quite easy with Haki IMO. If it were a normal Diamond it would be a different case.

But when you use Haki it is like the Diamond is not even there. It is the same with Luffy, when people use Haki on him it is like he is not even made of rubber. So its basicly Haki vs Haki.

Haki enhances damage to a devil fruit user. Which is why Luffy actually takes damage in the first place. But Jozus fruit would still make him as hard as diamond. It just means he's more likely to get hurt.

It sourt of does. What it actually does is brings an attacker the ability to hurt a DF user. e.g. Luffy is immune to blunt damage. Add haki into the mix and he gets hurt. You can hit logias.

However Jozu's fruit is so strong defensively that you need Haki that is superior Luffys to even hope to injure him.

Burgess isn't worthy and i just don't see Marco or Jozu losing their DF's to these scrubs (Inner WBP fanboy talking). I still think they'll play an important role in the NW. Shiliew becoming a diamond man and Zoro cutting him seems possible but Burgess getting Marco's fruit? please no.
