First Impressions of KILL LA KILL?

I personally was REALLY disappointed. Gainax are my favourites and Gurren Lagann is my favourite piece of fiction ever made but the anticipation for Kill la Kill sent me crazy....and what'd I get? a set-up for a generic shonen fight anime with an evil league of mini-bosses and soft hentai. The animation is nice but this was literally bottom of the barrel quality anime. It has the usual lovable Gainax trends of over the top action and obnoxiously energetic characters...but they just don't work too well here.

The second the boob armour showed up and I realised this cool female protagonist with a badass attitude was just resorted to female *** object...I was out. It's only the first episode I saw and i'll give it another chance but i'm really not looking forward to the direction of it. I'll see how it plays out and if i'm not invested by episode 3 i'll be out.

To be fair I didn't really like TTGL until at least around a third into the series so it still has time to turn around. I just hope they don't try to make it too much of a TTGL copy...

Another overly feminine anime, honestly i understand females can be portrayed rather poorly in most anime before these last few years, but these massive string of Buffyisque anime's need to stop ._. they were alright at first but now thier getting ridiculous..look at the new thread with all the new anime and you'll see what i mean lol
