So learned a few things this chapter. 1st: Looks like Tsunade told a little fib. She said she was the only one who could use Byakugou.

Meaning Sakura should be a pretty effective tank at this point. Sakura fans should have something to rejoice about (not that we didn't know Sakura would be able to use it.)

And 2nd: It looks like Katsuyu is the answer to the God Tree's Chakra zapping ability.

It implies she can use the technique. But to what scale? For someone who's just achieved it as compared to Tsunade he's used to for so long, it's not a fair assumption she can use it at the same capacity yet. Maybe she'll get a chance to tank something in the fight later in the manga.

Well we don't know if it takes more expertise to release the seal to such an extent.

She just released the seal to a limited extent it seems so we can't assume she can fully release it yet.

(Though knowing kishi she probably will in an upcoming chapter.

Actually it's possible. Air Palm could be the deciding factor in a fight for hinata without katsuya.

Hinata cant get close to Sakura, thats her problem. Air palm can be easily avoided from the distance where Hinata is still safe. Besides, Kisame took one from very close range and he wasnt even slightly hurt.

Well air palm is an attack on the vitals and chakra points, this kisame that they where fighting was a under some kind of transformation, so it's not clear how it would have effected such a shinobi.

Air palm can also be extremely long ranged, as seen from Hiashi, but I doubt hinata can do anything on that scale.

That shinobi was avatar of Kisame, he was actually much weaker than orignal. They werent immortal, Narutos Rasengan worked just fine. Yeah, I know Rasengan is stronger, but Kisame was even phazed, he was just pushed back.

Besides, people are acting like one hit from air palm - and poof! - no more stenght or healing for Sakura. Well, its not that simple. In partI Hinata had several of her tenketsus hit, but that didnt stop her from continue using Jyuuken. She only realised that her tenketsus were hit after Neji pointed that out.

Not to mention, that like I said Hinata wouldnt be able to get close enough to Sakura for that technique to be successful. At this point saying that Hinata is able to defeat Sakura is like saying she would also be able to beat Tsunade.

It is unclear how the jutsu functions so it's also not clear how it would effect a most likely disturbed chakra system.


Not really, tsunade has a larger physical advantage being a senju and an uzimaki, larger natural chakra reserves, other jutsu such as creation rebirth, and body pathway, much more expertise etc. But I only said it was possible. Meaning I think it could depend on things like air palm, the starting distance of the battle etc.
