Now I have brought this matter up before, regarding the use of genjutsu, the skill and feats that a shinobi displays in a genjutsu are they still considered legit feats even though it was a genjutsu?

Example itachi that fought sasuke, they were using genjutsu for more than half the battle but both demonstrated highly skilled taijutsu and shunshin and what not, would it still be considered a real feat from them regardless of it being a genjutsu?

lets take konohamaru for example, lets say he used a genjutsu on kakashi and in that genjutsu he blitzed kakashi, and this is a kid konohamaru, now obviously that feat isnt possible because konomaru has hardly displayed shunshin feats and cannot head and head with current kakashi so the feats he displayed against kakashi would be considered as false.

but when we look at the genjutsu that itachi and sasuke were using on each other in part 2 during their fight they both displayed skills that they are both capable of pulling off and etc.. so are those feats from sasuke and itachi considered legit, regardless of the fact that it was a genjutsu?

Im still a bit iffy on it, the reason why is that Itachi showcased quite alot of skill in the genjutsu part of the battle but is it right to say it is legit feats since it was all a illusion?

It depends.........

The caster of the genjutsu could possibly alter it to how he/she pleases.
Just like Itachi keeps slicing you in his Tsukyomi, but in all honesty, he could also pull down all of your clothes and make you strip.

It's a bit tricky (@Bold), an illusion or not i think it's legit feats because in the genjutsu world you can't increase your speed, strength, etc. I think when you're under a genjutsu you can control everything around the person you cast on the genjustu making the person thinks you're faster in the genjutsu world than in real life, just a thought.

I'd say it HEAVILY depends.

Genjutsu creates illusions which means the caster can easily alter reality to make things happen that shouldn't. For example, Konohamaru blitzing Kakashi is virtually impossible. However, in a genjutsu, it could be done by either increasing the illusion of Konohamaru's speed... or decreasing Kakashi's reaction (or a combo of both).

I'd say for the most part the feats shown by Sasuke and Itachi within the Genjutsu were probably legit to an extent except for moments where one was randomly teleported elsewhere.

For example, Sasuke suddenly being behind Itachi's throne...

so we can agree that the feats displayed in the genjutsu that were pretty normal such as shunshins, taijutsu etc are pretty legit ?

:hint:
yes it is their real speed in that genjutsu itachi and sasuke fought in. those were their real physical strengths
as they weren't completely sure whether or not they were still in genjutsu. So if one of them does something that they normally cannot do , the other one would realize it and conclude their suspicions of still being in genjutsu.

I don't think it counts because it's not real world applications. If they don't perform the feat out of a Genjutsu then no, Itachi made hundreds of clones in one of his Genjutsu before but we've never seen him do it out of genjutsu so to say Itachi could create 100 clones would be a fallacy.

I'd say so! I'm drawing a blank, but wasn't a good bit of the parts like the Shuriken battle and such part of the Genjutus?! But considering they were basically fighting on equal ground... I'd say those count as feats IMO. No one had an unrealistic edge over the other, and considering the Genjutsu was going back and forth... it could be considered a period in which they were equally fighting back the genjutsu.
