Well could be possible, but i think his death was pretty cool, he died a secretly hero which makes it more sad and awesome.
Though my favorite was emperor Charles ;_;

I would say yes and no to this: Whether she rolls back her eyes that far is rather debatable - to me it looks as if she isn't and only looks towards the sky, HOWEVER, there are two different endings to Code Geass: one which shows the ending of him dying and another of him surviving, driving the carriage as you say and you also get to see half of his face.

For me, the ending of Code Geass is the one where he dies, as it was the one I saw first and after having watched the whole series, to others it's the one where he lives, whichever you prefer~
