[Discussion] Will we ever get the explanation of the DF's existence?

Do you think Oda will give us a good arc explaining how they came to be and what use they serve in the world (stuff in One Piece generaly seems to come back to that point that they were created to be used for a purpouse)

I guess it might come down to Vegapunk explaining his research...

Or do you think Oda will just leave it as a mithical fruit from the sea?
Considering evreyone just kinda accepted they exist(In OP verse) it doesnt seem like it would need explaining to them

Yes Oda isn't the type of mangaka who ignores certain aspects of a story.

The existence of the Devil's Fruit is a question. Even the name Devil is included makes you ask yourself why it's called Devil's Fruit. It's like a devil came to earth and threw his fruits everywhere on earth.

So mysterious as the The Void Century. Probably it's alchemist related to create such thing to be eaten and grant the eater a power. Yet it's crazy. If you destroy the fruit, it will comeback. More like some kind of magic or power to bring the fruit back. You can't erase its existence, no matter how hard you try.

Does it need an explanation? I'd prefer to not know the origins of the Devil Fruit. It would just seem less fun if there was any logical basis for their existence.
