Why doesnt every upper-level jonin know rasengan??

its not element based....its just chakra rotating in the palm all it takes is chakra control and its very useful for close combat

my knowledgeable opinion would say that it got invented late in the series by minato and so it didnt have time to spread. looks like it stayed a secret in the leaf and there are only four people who have used it....but it seems like once people saw naruto spamming it like crazy they would have been like "whats that?" and would began to learn it in different countries, i guess not.

I dont have a reason why jonin in the leaf havent began to learn it I JUST DONT KNOW!!!!!!

It is a diff jutsu to master buttttt not so hard that a 8 yr old kid could do it!

I disagree that rasengan takes a lot of chakra......kakashi never used in battle but when he showed naruto he could use it didnt seem like he was very strained and he has no chakra reserved

Well the weakness of rasengan is you have to personally get close to your opponent at point blank range for it to work. So you need a jutsu that could perfect it. Minato told kakashi that he couldn't do lightning blade because he had no control and had no jutsu to help him. That is until i got sharingan.

Naruto- had shadow clones to use as distractions

Minato had FTG

Jiraiya had toad summonings and was very good at making giant rasengans

well the fact it was the pinacle of shape manipulation, the high level of chakra, the fact their was no one to teach them, the fact only five people can use it, the difficulty of using it in combat or even forming it in combat.

I agree with everything but the chakra eater part, it's just rotating chakra so it's not using anymore than it needs unlike the chidori
