In recent comparisons with Naruto over who should be Hokage, people seem to overlook many of Sasuke's abilities as a leader. People have been saying that he would be the 'new Danzo'. He would act nothing like Danzo, Sasuke is aware that Danzo was the reason the massacre happened in the first place so why would he take on the same path he did? Sasuke is no dictator. He would be caring towards the people of Konoha just as Itachi was, but will know when the difference between being too lenient and knowing how to rule with an iron fist. A quality Naruto lacks.

I'm not sure who would be the better hokage between the two, but by no means would Sasuke drive Konoha to the ground.

I think the implication is that Sasuke represents the 2nd son of the Sage, meaning he wants to rule through power. That is not to say he doesn't care about the world, he simply believes that power is the most effective way to rule properly and avoid chaos. With Power, a massacre could be prevented.
Since this is a manga about love and friendship, Naruto will most likely be picked, though I do believe Sasuke is not a bad candidate.

In terms of leadership, Sasuke is the straight man. There are few instances of him giving motivational speeches to encourage others around him. Does this mean he can't lead?! Not at all, but his leadership style isn't one that inspires through confidence or bestowing confidence on others. Instead he simply acts hoping others see him and follow suit.

Even more so, is the fact that the current Sasuke has no leader mind set. He blatantly rubbed off the sentiments of Shino and I believe Shikamaru saying he doesn't care for their opinions. It's poor leadership to act soupy on whatever interest is one's own and not care for those of the people you lead.

Sasuke currently has a goal, and considering it has a dark feeling behind it (cut the past with Naruto's picture being torn), this could easily be something that in the long run threatens Konoha.

I personally believe Sasuke will become Hokage. But Naruto will be the supreme KAGE of all 5 united shinobi nations

Why are you certain that Sasuke will be caring towards Konoha, the people and not the village?

To me he seems like a Totalitarian, not necessarily a dictator. I expect him to cut down (if not, eliminate) liberty for the safety of Konoha, whereas I feel Naruto would be more of a risk-taker politically.

EDIT: I second what Snape Uchiha says.

Don't forget how he went solo and did his own research on how to defeat Orochimaru and also put the Taka team together on his own and came up with plans for them to succeed and also went and summoned the dangerous Orochimaru and had the 4 previous Hokage Resurrected with unlimited chakra . His assistance and careful and quick thinking and analyzing of the war situation helped the shinobi alliance in a great way.

Whatever plan he has, I doubt that it would affect Konoha in a bad way, since he wants to protect what Itachi wanted to protect.

Sasuke could easily bring Konoha down when a leader.

He does not care about Konoha. He wants to change the system of it - meaning he wants to change the way they do some things. It affects other people, so I'm not surprised if Sasuke would.

Sasuke is a better leader than Naruto. Not even once I remember Naruto taking charge of a team as a head, leading them, and successfully completing the mission. He has always been lead by Shikamaru, Kakashi, Sai, Yamato, Sasuke and Jiraiya.

Note: The war arc. leadings were by Kurama - not Naruto. Pain arc. he was alone.

Whereas Sasuke has lead some; Team Taka and Team 7.

Sasuke has maybe never failed to complete a mission. He has always got the objective of his mission, even though he has suffered great losses. However, he does do his missions sometimes in an evil way. While fighting Sasuke, Danzo took Karin as a hostage and threatened to kill her if Sasuke did anything. This still did not stop Sasuke from attacking - he pierced their both hearts with Chidori.

To me, Sasuke is very good leader, but lacks emotions. To do everything in evil way, will spread hate and can possibly bring your village down.

Naruto lacks logic; he simply can't lead a village, if he can't do the same with a team.

To me, both are a bad idea. Kakashi should be Hokage, and Naruto should fight as one.

Remember, Sasuke was pretty much the leader in team 7. He generally called the shots when Kakashi wasn't around. Look at the Forest of Death. Even Naruto followed Sasuke's orders unquestionably.

He never cared about helping the SA at first. If he already told Itachi that he hates Konoha - why would he help them?

He summoned the ''dangerous'' Orochimaru, who confessed that he was a lot weaker than Sasuke, to resurrect the Hokages for his dumb questions.

He soloed a sick dying guy, who had no hands in use, and had researched about him for years. Yeah, doubt even Hashirama could do anything at that moment. And he confessed he would have never won, if Orochimaru wasn't sick and hands tied.

The idea of going to fight was Hiruzen's - not Sasuke's.

Nope. Remember that punch, when Sasuke ordered Naruto to give the scroll to Orochimaru?

He did not always.

To be fair, Kurama has been a massive influence. I'm pretty sure the alliance would be finished if he wasn't there.

When Jûbi came, Naruto and Kurama switched sides, and Kurama lead the team.

Kakashi stated that he was leading the team - not Naruto.

Second point;

Naruto has never lead a team.

Being a soldier and attacking first is different.
