I really want to see this fight now after finding out that they both have hidden powers. I'm anxious to see how much they have both improved and see who is actually stronger. I think law will be stronger but Luffy has the will power to not give up

I think Luffy would win though, Law was having trouble with Vergo's speed so I'd imagine he'd have a problem with Luffy's speed as well.

I can't underestimate Law, he took on an admiral and a warlord at the same time and is still alive and thinking about keeping Luffy's crew safe and away from doflamingo . Law is amazing , strong , durable and intelligent . His will to not give up is equal to that of Luffy , therefore I am undecided because Luffy is also a genius remember what he did to Enel in order to over come Enel 'a mantra #epic

Luffy is childish not stupid, remember how he overcame Enel 's mantra and how he defeated crocodile and how he wasn't stupid enough to challenge mihawk. Luffy is pretty darn smart if you ask me.

Although you put out some good points, no matter how smart Luffy maybe, he cant outsmart Law, I still bet on Law here, though it would be high deff, if not then its a draw.

No he's not. Luffy is stupid out of battle, but inside it, he becomes smarter than a few SH's in battle. After-all, he found out the best way to beat Krieg, he realized how to fight against Enel. He created G2 & 3 (something which takes great knowledge to think of). So yeah, he is plenty smart to fight against and possibly even beat Law.

I think Law is too smart and tricky for Luffy. Luffy's speed might be a problem. I think the chances are 50%-50% for those two. Law could beat Luffy by getting his heart, using a smart plan. It depends if Luffy is smart enough and fast enough to avoid Law and be able to attack at the same time.

Actually no. He is not as stupid as he is in everyday situations but not by any chance can he be categorized as smart. In most of his fights, he gets caught up to the same techniques and uses the same (failed) methods until he realizes he needs to do something else. His good stamina and the fact that he can take a lot of damage is what saves him from being seriously wounded. With Enel he had a natural advantage. Look at his fights with Caesar, he got caught up to the same thing more than twice. About his gears, it only natural to understand his own body and ability better than anyone else, I don't see why he has to be genius to develop that.
