Don't like the way Kishis openly saying Naruto will be Hokage now

This last chapter everybody is finally talking not figuratively but actually planning ahead for when Naruto does become Hokage where they will be and what they'll do and....as happy as I am to see Naruto's dream finally coming to fruition and people actually taking him seriously (he surpassed Hokage about 200 chapters back) the fact that Kishi is just saying it out loud rather than hinting it.....seems really dodgy to me.

The fact that he is saying through Sakura and Shikamaru etc. that it will actually happen leads me to believe that it....won't. Because Kishi is being so open and unsubtle with it it won't be that ceremonious and surprising when it does. Which makes me think something is going to go horribly wrong. I feel that Naruto might not even make it through this final battle, that his death will create peace in the ninja world and this sneaky little red herring were said to lead us off the track and make it even more shocking if he does die.

I don't know, I feel like Kishis up to something.

I really hope so, actually- I dunno, Naruto's sacrifice could make for a really amazing ending. It's just Kishi has gone years with being subtle about it and only preaching it through imagery and comparisons even though he could've really been Hokage material maybe since the Pain fight but it's NOW that he's just admitting Naruto will be Hokage?

if Naruto dies... then this story is really good... i mean... remember, full metal alchemist, both main characters return to their original form but loss the ability to use alchemy... how about dragonball, Goku didn't stay on this world for good...

some stories are meant for that...

but what i really want to see is the end of naruto, hope it will come soon... hahhaha

some fans of naruto way back from the beginning is having their own children already... don't tell me that our children will be able to still see Naruto and its never ending story... hahahaha

I use to think this way but maybe the manga has just become this cliche. Kishi is becoming predictable. I see a simple/happy ending over the horizon with no real characters to mourn over. Just Neji.

That isn't specifying exactly when. Could be after the war, might not be.

I kinda wish the ending was bittersweet. Like, for example, the whole ninja system not being needed anymore, or everyone giving up chakra to live normal lives (not just Naruto, everyone, so that it doesn't turn into FMA).

And now the series is about him bringing peace to the ninja world as well. If Naruto brings peace to the ninja world with his death and bequeaths the title of Hokage to Sasuke for his dreams to live on through him then I wouldn't be surprised.

I agree, Kishimoto has already told us what it takes to become Hokage and Naruto has all of those qaulities. So Naruto is definitely going to become Hokage, but before that Sasuke will want to fight him for the title... But he won't ever become Hokage
