JORDAN: I could beat Lebron in my PRIME but not sure about Kobe

Jordan Says In His Prime, He Would Have Beaten Lebron; Not Sure About Kobe

NBA legend Michael Jordan believes he could beat LeBron James in a one-on-one basketball game when he was in his prime.

He's not sure about Kobe Bryant.

In a video promoting the NBA 2K14 video game that was released Tuesday (Wednesday, Manila time), Jordan said there's a long list of players he would've liked to have played one-on-one — Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Julius Erving, Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, Bryant and James, who dons the cover of this year's game.

"I don't think I would lose," Jordan said in the video, before smiling and adding, "Other than to Kobe Bryant because he steals all of my moves."

Responded James: "MJ said that?"

James was told of Jordan's comments after the Miami Heat completed their first training camp practice in the Bahamas on Tuesday, and said that the buzz would serve as good promotion for the game.

"Absolutely, I thought about the matchup," James said. "But no one would ever see it. It's not going to happen. But it's good for people to talk about."

Lebron isn't a one on one player. His skill set is more suited for 3 on 3 and 5 on 5 ball. MJ only said that about Kobe to dig at him, but he's said in the past Kobe is the only one closest to his prime. BTW if you now basketball then you know Kobe steals all the greats' moves.

I agree with Jordan. In his prime he was an absolute monster, and his defense alone wold be enough to lock lebron down. He's also mentally tough, Lebron let's his emotions get in the way and it affects his game, that was never the case for MJ. He was always mentally tough, which is what separates the good athletes from the great.

As for Kobe I think Jordan would win high diff.

This. LeBron is nice, but I don't think he's suited for a one on one game, especially with Jordan.

Erick Dampier over MJ high difficulty.
On topic: who cares. You're old now MJ, get on with your life instead of saying what you could do or couldn't do.

I think Carmelo Anthony could take Jordan in a one on one. Extreme diff, but I would love to see my favorite against the GOAT.
