I mean like university standard, good quality of work. Since leaving university I've been stuck with work colleagues who have no appreciation for art. I miss the whole art vibe!

XD glad to hear it. As long as your dedicated to it, and pretty much find some artist inspiration. You will do just fine :)

What do you need inspriation for? I drew my avi, but KGBKakuzu edited it in photoshop to make it all avatarish.

I have my BA in Fine Arts from UNT, and work as a 2D/3D Graphic Design/Software UI Developer. For my own art is modern-contemporary mixture of graphic art and lighting/etc.

I have 1 award winning piece, and multiple gallery shown pieces that didn't take a prize. Wanna have my own exhibit someday.

Nice I'm a university Graduate Ba Hons in Illustration, that was 2 years ago. Sadly however I've been working full time in a kitchen ever since. Going to be moving to Birmingham, Bristol or Manchester after this year cause living in a village doesn't help much.

My buddy is one of NB's best artists, if not the best.

Check out the of the forums (right below design hall) that's generally where traditional hand-drawing art is posted. We have a few very talented artists on the base.

Although I like manga I don't actually enjoy working with that style hence why I don't post work here at the base.

Btw I didn't went through art university, mainly because I chose engineerings, but I've been working as a hobby with PS and Corel for the last 10 years or so.

Another reason for my lack of interest in posting here, or in the majority of digital art communities is that I very rarely do character design, it's not that I don't paint people on my paintings because I do, it's simply because I rather make landscape or structures, cities, vehicles and so on and so forth and most people outside big art communities are almost exclusively interested on character design.

I'm also into photography, took a course 3years ago and since then I've been compounding my own reference and visual library using solely my own pictures. It's a great exercise and it truly cuts off on the google search for references which sometimes could take several days and by the time I had enough references I was no longer interested on the idea. Having your own library that you know intimately (because you took all the shots yourself) really cuts down this time and you can focus on getting only architectural representations of the styles meaning 3 or 4 google references are usually enough.

Now that I think about it your question was really a yes or no question. Sorry for the babbling :)

No problem :). I don't like the idea of copying someone else's style or drawing someone's character and trying to get credit for it. i always create my own stuff, it's fine to do fan art.

This is a thread with a latest piece
