After carefully reading this, i realized that itachi actually beat kabuto on his own using uchiha kinjustu.

If not for that fast knowledge of uchiha kinjustu, itachi could of lost the battle even with totsukya.

There are some overlooked feats from Itachi in that fight, Itachi was capable of matching kabuto's speed and reacting to certain techniques like Muki tensei and others I believe.

Seriously? We're going back to this? I thought the Kabuto vs Uchiha Bros thing was long gone.

Itachi won through well placed timing of Izanami. Without that, his chances of winning are close to zero.

Both sides were holding back for different reasons

Both sides had to change their strategy because they were holding back for their respective reasons

Kabuto still had Manda II, and Edo Muu under his control.

There are way too many factors to have a proper conclusion of Itachi vs Kabuto
