Ok I might be slow on this one (again) but I just thought about it and here we go:
1. Zetsu claimed that Madara chose Obito
It makes sense he needed a kid with potential to carry out his Tsuki no Me plan. He must have searched through a lot of young Uchihas but obviously he saw Obito's potential with mokuton and his eyes so ho chose him.
2. But Madara is an old man who can't even move out of his man cave, how does he find young people :snick:?
He had Zetsus do that for him, he can see though Zetsus and select the best one.
3. Now that he chose one, he must lure that boy to his cave to do stuff, how does he do that?
Obviously drop a boulder on that boy, but not kill him. Madara must had some kind of relationship with that guy that dropped it or something, or he controlled him.
But the boulder thing was appropriate because if the kid was straight up kidnapped, he wouldn't follow Madara's plan. This way, Obito had to stay for a long time and train with Madara.
4. Also there's something happened that shouldn't
The kid freaking gave one of his Sharingan away. Yes, even the mastermind Madara didn't see this coming, but oh well.
5. And oh look! Somehow only Rin and Kakashi are in danger, that doesn't look suspicious at all.
6. Not only that, Zetsu even helped him escape and Madara didn't look worried at all.
Obito took control of Yagura to do whatever he wanted, I wouldn't be surprised if Madara did something too
Before I thought that Madara just suddenly came across this kid with a boulder on top of him but now it's clear to me, he was stalking Obito the moment Obito was born.
