We dont know, we never seen him as a father, except for RTN. And he did a pretty damn good job there, and he sacrificed himself to ensure the life of his child and Konhana. So he was I just. Kushina was a great mother too.

I think Minato was a good father, it's not his fault he couldn't be there. Kushina could have been there,if the kyuubi had not stabbed the both of them.
Seems he had quite the regrets though .__.
