Surely not even the most hardcore Naruto fan believes this. Power wise, Kurama has been nothing but helpful. It gave Naruto regeneration, bolstered his base chakra reserves, and no gives him his famous KCM and BM. Unless you think Naruto would gain power on that level without Kurama. This thing, whether you like it or not, is the definition of a handout. Kurama literally hands him chakra.

Why are sasuke fans happy that he got a curse seal powerup... the only reason why he could so casualy grab some jugo sage shit is because he has the kyubi chakra. If you remember how sage mode works, it makes sense since kishi makes all sasukes accomplishments due to someone handing him something oro, itachi, naruto, jugoo.

In the chuunin exams that chakra cloak was a last resort. Naruto survived all the fight until that point, where other ninjas would be almost dead.
