I think u forgot that Naruto needs to stop Sasuke as well as Madara , Minato sealed Kyubi inside Naruto to stop Madara and Naruto is fully aware of that ,If Naruto dies while fighting Sasuke ,who is supposed to save the village from Madara..?

He learned his most OP jutsu (Fuuton - Rasenshuriken) because Sasuke became too powerful after the timeskip. A jutsu that has proved to be extremely useful.

And in the scan that Dantee provided that people are openly ignoring, Naruto clearly states that he needed to tame the kyuubi in order to defeat Sasuke. Naruto didn't knowabout the war so that couldn't possibly be the reason he trained for KCM.

But naruto did state over n over. How can I become hokage and I can't even save a single friend. Face it man since day one naruto chased after Sasuke trying too be better than him. Read the manga dude naruto loves Sasuke.
