I would argue there are just as many Obito fans as there are Obito haters. How about we let others have their own opinion regarding a drawing on paper? Everyone on NB.. Heck let's not stop there, NF, SY, Naruto Viz Forums etc. has seen this thread way too many times. In fact, I'm pretty sure that I've seen this thread from you before. I'm okay with Obito: I don't hate him nor do I like him.. I just think that Madara and Nagato were better villains. Also, why do you automatically assume that people hate Obito because of his reasoning to be evil? Some people hate him for his role in the plot, others for his identity, some for his attitude, heck some for his character design.

Let people be. We've been at this for more than a year now..

I dont like him because he is unappealing to me. His character was poorly introduced and poorly executed. im not saying Kishi's a bad writer, but I'm sure he could've made his entrance better. I liked the enigma of Tobi more than a whiny kid who cant see the good in the world and only focuses on the bad. That's why I dislike Obito.

There are other characters in the Manga (Kakashi, Sasuke, Gaara), who've had rougher lives than him and still see the light of the situation, his childhood sweetheart died for his village and instead of carrying on her will, he decides to become a puppet of Madara's hatred. I'd find Obito to be a more interesting character if Kishimoto changed around his childhood and his reasoning for disaster in the world. This is why I liked Obito more when his identity was unknown and his motives unaware.

Take into consideration that Obito is an uchiha who love more than even senju and when they lose that love it turns into an ever stronger hate and changes that person. Gaara saw the light because he had someone like Naruto who dealt with similar pain help him see the light. Kakashi is exception though.. I guess he was just tough mentally not only that but hewasn't an uchiha.. even then he was a strict type of person until Obito came along and changed him..when he lost his father or his friends (obito) he had people like Gai and the rest of his age group and Minato there to help him cope. It's not even known what Sasuke's motives truly are just yet so I won't argue for him. Again here I explained why the uchiha overreact or go crazy when they lose a loved one.. it was just not her death that made him turn to Madara's will but it was also seeing how messed up the ninja system was.. now you may say "how come he didn't notice this before?" Well Madara wasn't there to take advantage of his mindset.. you can't blame him after all he witnesses the death of his love being killed by his best friend who swore to protect her and then goes on a killing spree.. tell me would most normal people be sane after that especially a uchiha who was young? Nope and that was Madara's best chance to get him to join his side because before the incident he declined his offer.
You can like him or hate him but I thought I'd just tell you this.

I knew you were going to say this but as I said everyone is different in emotional strength and willpower.. as said in the manga Itachi was an exception from this curse of hatred if I remember correctly. Just like each normal person has different amounts of mental toughness the same can be said about Uchiha. Look at Madara, Sasuke, and Obito they all took the evil path but they were all different in how it happened for example Madara lost a few of his brothers yet didn't go crazy.. it took more for him to turn to the evil side for Obito all it took was what I said in my previous post so nobody is the same and you can't expect Obito to be an Itachi or anyone else you bring up.
