Mikasa is the worst Mary Sue and the most annoying. Being useless is one thing, but when they intentionally make the female character perfect and better than everyone else, even in things that most girls have a disadvantage in then that becomes Mary suish.

OT: Sakura as a character sucked in part one. But she did improve and she's okay I guess in part 2. However her forgiving Sasuke after trying to kill her was terrible writing in my opinion. But at least she didn't want to lick him all over like Karin

In the beginning she was a mere plot device for the development of naruto and sasuke, she played the role of the damsel in distress so that they could have something to fight for, and power up wouldn't be random, and also served as a cute comedic relief.
However she was also the proverbial fairy in the game for the group. She was Kishi's conduit of interacting with the character and telling them things, which is why she was so smart and is seen explaining a lot of things.

Kishi failed with her Genjutsu angle, though it did explain her uncanny chakra control and intelligence to be a gennin.

Her fight with Ino gave her more depth and gave us a feel for why she was so hot headed and mean towards Naruto. She was bullied and she is trying to fit in all while being her own person, she is afraid to get close to Naruto in fear of what other may think of her...though she secretly feels for him.

She was vital to Sasuke development in part 1 too, and she was needed to fill the gap in his heart.

But in part 2 she was very very useful, not only to her team but to the plot...

Kishi represented Sakura in part one as a complete joke of a female character & you can't deny that , there was nothing good about her. She became a burden & a mentally unstable character, she kept representing the same weak minded women she was in part one , kishi even admitted to have forgotten her , so fans even trying to understand her character is out the window , cause kishi admitted his failure .

there's a reason she is Pink , only to stand out from everybody else .

Development only lies in fighting for them apparently and nothing else the character does counts unless they are doing just that. Which confuses me because now they are getting what they have been bishing about they seem displeased.

She's a great character. Debating other females besides Tsunade in terms of being better developed than her is just ugh. Having minimum panel time and showing up once or twice is not steady development it's horrible.
