Just curious, is Itachi's diesease ever explained?

It wasn't stated what disease it was. But it was obviously bad as it had a huge negative impact on his stamina.

ITACHI & KIMIMARO
Itachi & Kimimaro BOTH were in situations with Orochimaru .. and both were mysteriously hindered by disease.
Itachi having a disease is Zetsu's assumption and speculation because of Itachi's surprising durability state.
but was that Itachi playing like he was injured beyond what he really was?
ITACHI & OROCHIMARU
Itachi said he knows the feeling of Orochimaru's HYDRA jutsu.
Kimimaro was in Orochimaru's presence and care during most of his time.. Kabuto noticed he had developed DIsease.
Itachi wasn't around Oro much and Kabuto wasn't around Itachi at all during his life.
so Kabuto and Oro wouldn't know if Itachi had developed a disease cuz they weren't around him long enough.

was it really a disease or acting or just weakened ?

pretty soon Sasuke is going to continue fighting and then he is going to come down with some type of illness.
Kabuto as well.. Kabuto played with Orochimaru's DNA and his silky slimy scaly snake skin..
Sasuke had the Hydra technique coming out of him when he fought Itachi...

There are some things only Orochimaru can do.. like handle being Orochimaru.. >.>

Orochimaru's disease will kill the bad guys.. and his edo control will hinder the good guys movement ..
Zetsu is still 1 left inside of Sasuke and Jugo and they will fuse.. and fuse with and absorb the disease from Sasuke.
Sasuke wont know about it .. perhaps.. then Zetsu will transform into Madara throughout Sasuke's body.
SASUKE will be possessed by Madara and the disease will be absorbed by Madara ... it will hinder him..

Nope, sasuke didn't die because of it.

Sasuke only used ms techs during the kiiler bee capture and kages meeting, then he asked Tobi to give his brothers eyes to obtain ems when he's starting to feeling side effects. Ems would have saved itachi.
