How did Madara already plan for his trump card?

As we all know Hashirama's Senjutsu is Madara's trump card. But it just seems weird to me how he would know how to execute the trump card when he didn't even know that Hashirama would even be revived, let alone himself. He couldn't have planned this far ahead with the current circumstances.

Well, to put it right, Madara was hoping as well as planning to resurrect in Nagato's body with Rinne Tensei, but failed.
He wanted to become Juubi's Jinchuuriki after reusrrection but Obito snatched his chance. But he planned to take control of Obito once Obito gets weakened by the SA (when Hashirama wasn't resurrected)
Soon Hashirama resurrected and Madara waited for the right moment to get resurrected in Obito's body by using Hashirama's Sage mode to beat Obito. How? By controlling SM Hashirama with the black rods and making him fight Obito till end. Hashirama is resurrected in a Zetsu Clone, the clone which is formed out from the flower and through which Madara created those Black Rods.

Naruto first attacked him with sage mode maybe he planned on using Naruto I don't like the idea of him being able to use sage mode that would make it not so special because it's a good counter to visual jutsu and would make Madara to OP besides why hasn't he used it yet and why does he need Hashirama

well i think he could have planned on using hashirama for senjutsu...! We all are missing a point...! Madara knows the seals of edo tensei so even if hokages weren't revived he could have revived hashirama with edo tensei so it's not that far fetched to think that madara planned on using hashirama's senjutsu...!

Hashirama was sealed in the Reapers belly so that wouldn't work
