Naruto Manga a Legendary Manga?

In my opinion, neither of those 3 you mentioned is a legendary manga...especially DeathNote. Naruto is not and i don't think will be a legendary manga, because there are better ones...U_U

Legendary isn't just popularity or plot or characters or dialogues, it's all of them put together. Pokemon is popular among KIDS. And we're talking about the anime here. I'm talking about manga only.

Death Note is a Cult classic. Any manga reader will atleast have read of it. In its genre, it's easily legendary.

Note: What's wrong with Goku talking/fighting incessantly for 7 hours? He can destroy planets easily enough.

It is funny how you are only talking about shonen and havent talked about any other mange for example seinen. Wolf Guy: Ookami no Monshou, Gantz and Akumetsu are mangas which easily crush Naruto's manga in story line and Gantz completely obliterates Naruto in terms of populariy and sell rates as well. Whether the story line is good or not is pure subjective. I think Naruto took a deep roll down in the bottom part 1 ended. It then went up again and then rolled back down when war broke out.

Death Note is by no means legendary, after L died, the manga also took a roll down into the deep and many people considered it to be inferior compared to the first part. All the succes was based on the first part, when you only look at the last part, you would say that Death Note is medicore and you only follow it because of the first part.

When you really think that Pokémon is only being followed by kids, then you should seriously give yourself a facepalm. Pokémon has a huge fan comunity with their ages ranging from small kids up till grown ups/elderly. Besided you were the first one to start talking about the anime. Do you have any clue how old the original pokemon manga is?

And you take it for granted that Naruto is popular in every country, well here is the truth: for example here in the Netherlands, Naruto isn't even being broadcasted on TV and you need to go to special book stores in order to purchase the manga volumes. The mojority of the population haven't heard about it.

Here is the funny thing about your post: "we are talking about the manga only". To be honest, unless you have a severe head injury, you should have known that the manga of Dragon Ball was only popular in Asia and that Dragon Ball only became popular due to the anime. Aka: Dragon Ball isn't a legendary manga.

Last but not least: pokémons like Dialga and Palkia can easily destroy multiverses, so what is wrong with pokemon?

I'd put it in top twenty but it won't ever reach DBZ levels. DBZ built and has a legacy, it made Anime super popular and mainstream outside of Japan. While One-Piece is more popular in Japan then DBZ is and was, DBZ has a bigger legacy world-wide then any other series.

While Dragonball is definitely not the 'greatest' Manga ever, it certainly is the most 'legendary' in the sense of his legacy and what it did for the industry. Sailor Moon and Pokemon come close.

"Legendary" in terms if what to be exact?

İs it popular; yes. But popularity alone does not make it a legend. I would not define Twilight as a legend in literature, and its popularity in past years exceeds a good amount of pasterpieces. İn terms of popularity; Naruto became a legend since it is a manga who is known worldwide. So as Gangnam Style; but as far as musical quality goes; it is not bright at all. About Naruto's plot and storyline; it is better than many give credit for; but there are ones which are better than it in such aspect.
But i can say it deserves attention as a manga. DB did not have great plot; there is no denying of it. İt became popular because back then it was one of a kind; it is practicly a pioneer in this genre.

Overall; it will become a legend eventually i think. İt already become a legend in some senses. The "best" one for everybody would be subjective; having a legend status does not make something great or appealing for everyone.

Naruto will never surpass Dragonball. DBZ is so widespread and popular. Whenever you see someone powering up you automatically think "he's going super saiyan". I even know a few guys at the gym who casually talk about how Goku/Vegeta inspire their training.

Naruto is good, but it will forever be in DBZ's shadow.

The only manga which has stands a chance of rivaling DBZ is One Piece. In Japan, One Piece has certainly reached "DBZ tier".
