Madara wanted to have some fun with Naruto and B, so I doubt he'd keep a distance. I think Hidora may have destroyed susanoo and caused Madara enough damage that he needed to regenerate.

Seems as if the air pressure from Guy attack caused susanoo to fall back Just like the Tapir made Sasuke Susanoo lean foward. Notice in the image below the susanoo is being sucked forward and thus is leaning. I'd imagine the air pressure from Guy attack forced the susanoo to fall back and dissipate. high center of gravity = easier to push over and Madara Susanoo was much bigger than Sasukes thus Guy did not break his Susanoo simply just made it topple over

No I think. It only pushed back with great force. Hirudora may not have destroyed the V3 Susanoo. But it is very ambiguous.
