Naruto fans(in particular) and Bleach fans seem resistant to reading One Piece for the most part because they feel like it's some sort of rivalry and you can only support one or the other, so I see maybe 1/3 of the fans trying it and only 1/4 of that 1/3 actually accepting it as a good manga while most will probably have that mentality of "see I knew it wasn't good" before even getting to chapter 300.
