First of all the legend of the god tree and the fruit as told by Madara:
And now the story of tree of knowledege and it's fruit, from book of genesis in the bible and probably the inspiration for this story.
After god created Adam and Eve, he told them that they can eat from all the fruits in the garden of eden, but that the fruit of the tree of knowledge is forbidden. But one day a snake (the symbol for the devil or satan, and at this point he had legs) convinced Eve to eat from the fruit, and after she ate from the fruit she convinced Adam to eat from the fruit as well. When god found out he banished Adam and Eve from the garden of eden and took away the snake's legs, making him crawl on the sand as punishment.
i think there is an extremly strong connection to the story of the god tree, there is both a woman and a man, the mother of SO6P is Eve who ate the fruit first, and the SO6P as Adam. Also Madara says that "according to tradition, people shouldn't lay their hands on that fruit", in the bible story god condemned Adam and Eve from eating from the fruit.
there is also connection to the events with the descndents of Adam and the SO6P, the story goes that the children of Adam and Eve were Cain and Abel, Cain worked the land and Abel was a shepherd, they both offered gifts for god but god only acknowledged Abel's gifts and not Cain's. Cain felt betrayed and he murdered his brother Abel, for which god banished him and laid the Mark Of Cain on him.
there is a strong resemblance to the story of the senju and uchiha ancesstors, they both wanted their father's approval and he gave it to the senju and not the uchiha, so the uchiha felt betrayed and furious and attacked the senju. There is also the resembelence on how the uchiha get their sharingan, the biological way is strong emotional turmoil but it only happened when an uchiha killed their best friend or their brother, and as a result they get this pattern in their eyes like a Mark Of Cain. The curse of Cain was that no seed he plants will grow and no person will accept him, which sounds like the uchiha curse of hatred as they feel like they can never be accepted or live peacefully.
so, what do you think? i personally think it's great kishimoto takes inspiration from so many diffrent cultures, religions and legends and always change them slightly to fit his style and his ideas better.
