Enma is a summon and Hiruzen is an Edo Tensei, so where did Hiruzen get his blood from, in order to cast the summoning jutsu?

Edo Tensei have been summoning this whole war. If you remember, the 7 swordsman summoned their swords. Hell, Madara was summoned by an Edo Tensei

The swords were from scrolls, and Madara was summoned due to Kabuto. It's not like Muu has a blood contract with Madara.

Well it's not stated, but when they lose limbs etc, all we see is that paper stuff, no blood.

Its the same technique though. The swords were summoned through the scroll, and Kabuto summoned Madara, but he didn't perform the summoning jutsu. Muu did that. I agree though that it's probably a plot hole/inconsistency that Edo Tensei bodies can perform summoning jutsu. But the particular instance you specified isn't a plot hole.

Pain's corpses wern't edo tensei.

The only blood that could come from an edo tensei, is the blood of the host body, but that wouldn't be the blood of the soul who was summoned.

Maybe we should think outside the box. Why should blood be used in a summoning contract? "DNA" maybe? What is used to create an Edo Tensei? ..."DNA" maybe?

I'm saying its possible Kishi made a mistake with giving Itachi blood. I mean where did that blood come from.

Manga states blood is needed specifically.

If Edo Tensei's had blood, Tobirama would have soaks the floor when he was torn in half.

That's true, but every fact has a reason behind. I pointed DNA as an answer to the plot hole, that's the common factor between Edo Tensei and Blood.

And even then, if it was DNA, a host body is sacrificed to allow a soul to be called from the underworld or something like that.

As in host body = DNA while Soul = no DNA.

Any DNA if there was going to be any, would be DNA of the sacrifice.

In order to summon an Edo Tensei, you must have a decent amount of DNA of the summoned target. So my answer remains.

Your kind of stretching it a little here. For one your assuming that DNA instead of blood is needed for a summoning contract. If it was just DNA, surely they'd use their saliva, much more convenient than biting your thumb every time you want to cast a summoning jutsu.

Your also assuming that Edo Tensei's have DNA, and if they do, it is locateable within the mess of dirt/paper that rose up to form the edo tensei.

And even then, Itachi shouldn't have bled.
