As we all know Ichigo possess every ability of each race:
-Shinigami
-Quincy
-Fullbringer
-Hollow
-Human
And the only other person to possess this is is the Soul King himself.
It seems as if the SK and Juha Bach know each other, since Yhwach did say 'reclaim' the world. Yhwach's blood also runs in every Quincy so he pretty much is a 'God' in their culture. My guess is that the SK intended to just create humans, Shinigami and Hollows, but Yhwach was also around and created the Quincy.
The two clearly could not get along with each other and Yhwach posed a great threat to the balance of the dimensions. So maybe the Soul King ordered Yamamoto to begin recruiting the Gotei 13 to stop Yhwach and the First-gen Vandenreich. For Yhwach to be the Quincy king, he must be significantly older than Yamamoto was. We still don't know the circumstances of that battle, for we all know Yhwach's power could have already begun sealing itself when the fight started. I think it was the relationship between the Soul King and Yhwach that started the whole conflict against the Quincy in the first place, something that would reign on for thousands of years until this current gen-duo in Ichigo and Uryu.
Now we can safely establish that Yhwach's objective is to rid the world of the Shinigami and it's quite likely that the SK has similar intentions.
This isn't a parallel for Uryu but this is interesting:
Yhwach has a specific time limit in which he could stay in the Soul Society and I presume this is the case for the Human World and even the Royal Realm. I think it's for this reason that Yhwach may be intending to use Uryu as some kind of vessel. This also came to mind when Haschwald talked about how Uryu couldn't do anything even if he realised 'His majesty's true intentions'. Sounds very suspicious.
Also from our first appearance of the Soul King he definitely looked like a mysterious figure, even possessing a body figure that didn't look remotely normal. I can't see the Soul King sitting around whilst all of this is happening. There is also the whole story about how Ichigo is supposedly parting from the human world. My guess is that the Soul King may be looking to use Ichigo in some form as well to put an end to the Quincy after all.

-The Soul King and Yhwach were fighting over who was 'right' on the throne
-Because of Yhwach's time limit, he will use Uryu as a vessel
-The Soul King will use Ichigo in some form as well.
As I stated in the title, this is a crack theory, so I don't have much evidence to back it up.
