Now that I think about it, Naruto has a lot of biblical references. Perhaps I didn't notice it before because I don't know much about any other religion aside from Christianity, but I definitely see some biblical allusions going on in Naruto.
For example:
1) The God tree grows a fruit that no one must no eat, though they don't explicitly know why. --Tree of Knowledge
2) A woman ate of the fruit and things were never the same for mankind. --Eve eats the apple,banishment from the garden
3) (I'm kinda stretching this to meet ends) A man also eats of the fruit( implying that Bagoromo's inheritance of chakra is synonymous to him consuming the apple to since his mother ate it as well.) --Adam eats the apple too
4) A man has two sons. -- Cain and Abel.
5) The younger son is favored and the older son attacks him. --Cain kills Abel.
Just my random thoughts...criticism and feedback very much welcomed.
