Oh my lord! I found a plothole!!! Naruto and the Uchiha clan!

Damn! I swear to god I just found one of the biggest oddities in Naruto!!

Remember how Kushina Uzumaki and Mikoto Uchiha were close friends correct? They were friends until the very bitter end I.E. Kushina's death. That also means that Mikoto knew that Kushina was the wife of Minato. That being said, she no doubt knew and was probably the only one in the village besides her husband Fugaku and the Konoha Council who knew that Naruto was the son of Kushina and Minato!

That being said, you would honestly think that Sasuke's mother Mikoto would have adopted Naruto Uzumaki, son of Kushina Uzumaki out of sympathy and grief of the loss of her friend. If she would have adopted Naruto after his mother's death, the entire story/manga of Naruto could and/or would have been completely different from what it is now!

Unless if the Third Hokage Hirizen didn't allow her to adopt Naruto, then a major plothole has been discovered folks! O_O

*EDIT: Ok, I take back what I said about the ENTIRE story/manga of Naruto being different. Afterall, Naruto would have still had to deal with Madara and the Akutsuki as well as the Shinju. Correct me if I'm wrong.

i can't believe how many times i see a "plot hole" in the title to find out that the OP doesn't explain ANY "plot hole's".

what "plot hole" ?? this is just how you thought an event should have happened BUT, there are like a 100 reasons to why this never happened :erm: think about it.

They became suspects Not long after the attack on Konoha. The manga never stated that they became suspects right after the attack.

Also, I'm pretty sure that Mikoto could have and should have gone to the village council and reminded them about the relationship she had with Kushina and Minato.

That probably would have been enough to persuade the village council (except Danzo, but we all know how he is) that the Uciha's in the village or at least Mikoto and Fugaku were not behind the attack, thus those two at least would have been let off the hook. Think about it!

You can't ask people to "think about it." Nobody is a mind-reader, you have to actually do the work and type out what you want people to understand.

On what Fugaku could've done to persuade the council, the council has a responsibility to make decisions based on what is best for the village, not on somebody's ability to tug at their feelings awwwwwuh Mikoto and Kushina they was pwecious fwiends! Even Danzo has always done what he felt was best for the village, his methods were just more ruthless. Uchihas have always been eyed with suspicion since the village's founding. The village got the ninetails from an Uchiha.

Then allow me to explain. The manga never went into full detail about what I brought up on this thread. Also, on regards to what you said about the council making decisions on what is best for the village? Truth be told, Mikoto adopting Naruto probably would have been what was best for the village at the time.

How is that so? Remember how Hiruzen and the rest of the council strongly opposed the treatment the Uchiha were given correct? And remember how Hiruzen cared deeply for Naruto as well and wanted him to have a happy life, but couldn't fulfill that because of the villagers not being able to let go of the attack on Konoha and saw only Kuruma and the damage he caused when they looked at Naruto correct? Also, most of the adults did not know that Naruto was the son of Minato because as stated by Minato himself, if anyone were to find out that Naruto was his son, he would have been in grave danger. Also, let's not forget the fact that almost everyone knew that the Uzumaki's were the Jinchurikis of the Nine-Tails. Even the Akutsuki (which included Obito and Madara) knew that first hand.

Bottom line, Naruto and the rest of Konoha actually have been in way less danger if Mikoto would have adopted Naruto. Naruto would not have been known as Naruto Uzumaki. He would have been known as Naruto Uchiha. So there you have it!

a different possibility to the story is not a plot hole.. You could say this about anything, like oh my why wouldn't jairiah of adopted naruto? or and one of the fourths friends?......
