Shikamaru really shouldn't die. I really don't want him to...been one of my favs since pt 1 and it would suck to see him go, especially since Asuma and his dad died. He should live on to teach Asuma's kid!
It would make no sense to kill him aswell...
it would murder the whole a new generation arc, and where he avenges his sensei, thus killing the Ino-chino-sho formation which was celebrated in the war. Only reason I see, is that he would make a 100% better Hokage than Naruto, which is quite plot killing![]()
No stfu, nobody makes a better Hokage than Naruto. Shikamaru gets soloed by base Sakura. Sure he's smart, but that just means he would be a good adviser.
why so agressive 0o
And a leader is not about strength, a leader must be smart and be able to rule in wisedom and foresight. And sry Naruto is just a dumb character. He isn't smart. Sure he has mad fighting skills, and a good spirit. He would make a good General, heck the best one. But a Hokage/King? Imagine Naruto sitting all day like Tsundade doing paperwork. I don't think that would suit him at all. Additionaly, I just shtter imaginaning living in a country where the economic system is guided by Naruto.
He may still die, but he shared a part in Naruto's flashback.

Loads of people already assuming he is gone.
Someone give me a sniper rifle (just incase Kishi kills him, I'm gonna kill Kishi)
Boohoohoo...

Everyone in the thread is so wrong.
Who said leadership is about strength and wisdom? These are the wrong features for a leader taken alone.
There are two requirements to be a good leader, and these are: Charisma, and Trust on others.
And I don't need proof for this one, since I'm graduated in Computer Sciences and Management.
Everyone knows that the strongest Ninja in the village is the Kage, or soon will be the Kage in Naruto's case. Yes for leadership in any context your right, but not for choosing Kage in NV.
its no use, from your location it would take millions billions possibly even trillions of years to reach him. what star do you live on? lets start the math.
This doesn't make sense since Kakashi/Danzou was selected instead of Naruto after Pain's arc. A clear contradiction to your statement, specially taking in mind that Kakashi recognized Naruto was stronger than him in two ocasions: When Naruto learned the Rasen Shuriken (indirectly, making allusion to Yondaime Hokage), and when Naruto bested Kakuzu (directly).
You remember that the Konoha Council took this decision while Tsunade was unconscious, right?
