What are your views on religion.
1. Why do you believe God isn't real
2. What are some pros of being atheistic
3. What are some cons of being an atheist
4. When is religion ok, (ex. When it is not being stuffed down your throat/forced on you)
5. Why did you choose to be an atheist
1. You got this question backwards, its not that I believe that god isn't real, it's that I simply don't believe in the claim that a god exists, but to try and adress your question as good as I can: I don't believe in any god or gods because there have never been presented any evidence for their existance, it's the same reason I don't belive in Santa Clause, the lockness monster or bigfoot, or any supernatural creatures.
2. Pros:
I don't have to waste time closing my eyes, clasping my hands together and wish really hard things will be better for me or my loved ones, If I want something done I will have to take care of it myself, no magical inteferance will come, its all up to myself to get that promotion, that good grade in that math class or repair my own roof before the rain comes.
I don't fear hell, simply because I don't believe the place exists.
you end up charish life, because when it's over, it's over, there won't come a second chance to do anything, so you better make your life count, so im not wasting my one and only life preparing for a afterlife that will never come.
you can sleep late on sundays if you want to, sins there is no church for you to go to.
3. Cons:
Religious people (some/most, but not all) won't trust you.
4. When a young child or mentally ill person is dying and you use it to comfort the person, so his/hers last dying though won't be bad, but peacefull.
when it's use to generally and honestly helping other people in situations where it's needed, but not to promote the religion, but helping for the act of helping because you are a good person, and not because your religion tells you to.
that is pretty much the only reasons I see a use for it. (but honestly, any act of kindness that can be done by a religious person and be done by one that dosen't have a religion, so it's litterly useless)
5. It was never a choice for me, I tryed to be religious but I simply could not, It just made no sence to believe in something without evidence, no matter how much I wanted to (a afterlife)
