Okay so my wife is in her second trimester with twins and she's still working out like a lunatic every day. Actually more since she stopped working and has nothing to do all day. I'm talking dead lifts, squats, pull ups, etc. The same stuff I do except I don't have a giant baby bump. The doctor said its okay to work out so long as she doesn't over exert herself. I think what she's doing definitely counts and want her to stop. Mind you it is my marriage and I'll handle it the same way regardless. I just wondered what you guys think and maybe get some opinions.

She shouldn't be doing rigorous exercise with two babies in her stomach.

Twins? Man, you're lucky! ......Congratulations

On topic, I'm pretty sure it's not safe to move around or do much when a woman is pregnant.

If she does it should be in extreme moderation.

She should keep repetitions and weight to a minimum.

I wouldn't recommend squats.

She also shouldn't be doing any exercises flat on her back.

Overexertion can become harmful as well.

If she feels strain or excessive fatigue it is also important to reduce the weights or change maneuvers.

You know what's coming? I'll tell you she gonna an you if she got fat. She probably thinks she getting fatter and want to get skinner. Tell her that you are concerned about her over exercising and tell her if she could limit it. If she refuse tell her you'll change the family eating habits instead of over exercising

Or you could tell her she's perfect the way she is but most women don't listen to that

Talk it out with your wife. Tell her how this could effect the baby and her health. I am only thinking whats best.

... Back to talking to your wife. Man up. You are a married man. Taking advise from kids..... 0_0 ...... u_u...... It is time to grow up and make decisions to fix relationship on your on. At least ask family or friends for advise first. Internet does not count, but sometimes, although, it still helps. Meh. Whatever.

I did moderate exercises up until I was dilated and even then, I still did some yoga to help the process along. Some women's bodies can handle it, others' cannot. I'm not so sure if the deadlifts are a good idea unless she's using really light weights. It seems as if she's pretty set on exercising so my suggestion is to just monitor her (from afar...lecturing will probably make things worse) and if she experiences any abnormal pains or bleeding, then definitely need to stop.

Congratulations and good luck. :)

From a medical standpoint. Did she used to working out before she got pregnant?

If she did her body is used to It and can take it.

Make sure she drinks only water, so many pregnancy have had the mother diagnosed with dehydration. Let her excerise, but no pull ups, or push up. No core excerises either, we dont need little JR's area to get tight, she should stretch, drink plenty of water, so swats (tend to gain weight in the hip, and it strengthens the calf, and you will be prepared for running around with little J,R's after bed rest is over ofcourse. No sweeping missy, that is a no no, especially with twins no. (Aww I want twins). She should try to do back stretches and arm strengthening exercises.

But she is probably doing this because she is concerned about her figure. One baby does a toll on the body, 2 is extreme.

Lol she probably hits harder.

She shouldn't be doing rigorous exercise with two babies in her stomach.

That's what I keep telling her.

she can exercise after she gives birth and heals.

Well she can exercise plenty I just don't like that she's putting up more weight than a lot of guys are.

Twins? Man, you're lucky! ......Congratulations

Super sperm. Hit my goal on the first attempt. Now Im getting snipped and we can just adopt if we change our minds lol.

Yeajh thats the whole issue. I think shell calm down eventually and Im with her most of the time to keep her in check

Trust me she's in the best condition out of any Prego I've seen.

Lol not really looking for advice just bored and figured I'd see everyone's opinions. Don't need to man up to my wife because I do set limits and we have more than our fair share of fights. Marrying a pregnant Irish chick that can't smoke or drink anymore you have to be able to put your foot down because thats a whole lot of crazy in one package.

My wife is on a set diet of vitamins already.

Tell her to stop for the babies' sake.

Her response is that they'll be born with six packs lol.

Thank you. That's what I've been doing though she still seems set on at least 125. I'll make her keep going down as the pregnancy goes along. She says yoga's for pussies but I've been trying to get her to try it

Didn't listen to him.

From a medical standpoint. Did she used to working out before she got pregnant?

Yeah she's a freak. Track in high school, three years of constant cross fit, etc.

Imagine overexerting herself into labor at the gym. Scary as shit. lol

Everytime she deadlifts I tell her she looks like she's gonna shit the babies out lol.

Definitely doesn't need to worry about her figure. My wife sweep? Lol. Stoked to be having two but the first couple years are gonna be a nightmare until they can sleep on their own lol.

If she was doing all this before her pregnancy then its fine now as her body is use to all of it. Don't stress too much over it and congrats :)

Lucky guy! I wish I had my twins baby someday.

on topic, you're a guy. you should take under-control of your wife. working out while pregnant might cause abnormality of the baby inside or maybe the baby might get premature so if I were you, you must stop her as soon as possible before everything get worst

Sweet, loving and emotional talks can generally persuade women properly enough .... So I would have that path to persuade her to slow down a bit.

PS Did u guys decide on the names yet?

Stretching makes having the baby a bit easier down the road.
