I don't think the tree held all chakra. I think it altered the Princess and once chakra was discovered and understood, others then found out that through training there own chakra channels could be opened and ninjutsu could be performed.
The tree might be greedy and desire to be the only one to wield chakra, but i think people always had the capability within their bodies.
Discuss.

I don't know. I don't really agree with this. But kudos.

It probably gave her knowledge on how to control and manipulate it, but Madara said that all chakra came from that tree.

Do you have any motive of why people would have chakra networks if they weren't naturally designed to wield it?

PS: + rep, the possibility is there nonetheless.

There's no way that every shinobi out there is a descendant of the Princess. If only her descendants can use chakra then every shinobi out there would be one. If they did have her genetics they would likely have far more vast chakra reserves than say, the average fodder ninja.

The shinjin tree fruit opened up chakra paths to the point that vast chakra flowed out, and likely made one's body more hardy so they wouldn't fatigue quickly. Whereas a fodder ninja likely has little to no genetic connection with the princess and has had to work hard to open his chakra channels enough to even weld meager chakra amounts.

I read in another thread that it has been stated in the manga that even moving the body requires chakra. I assume this to be true.

I'm hoping more will be revealed next chapter in regards to this, and any inconsistencies ironed out by Kishi.

The problem is that manga talked about chakra (unmerged spiritual + physical energy), not about chakra network. So I'm still a little confused about this theory.

I thought this was referring chakra based movements like the Shunshin.

Next thing you know, they'll reveal that the tree was planted by extraterrestrial beings. The aliens started the whole thing! It always ends up that way, just like with X-men and the genetic mutations.

Problem is, the manga is explicit. Otsutsuki Hagoromo was the first human being to be born with chakra. Not to simply use chakra, but to have chakra, period. If human beings didn't have chakra before, then they didn't have a Chakra Pathway System to begin with. Therefore, all chakra-users must be descendants of the Sage of Six Paths. Plus, they wouldn't all be 'OP'. Look at the Sage's sons. In only a single generation, the Sage's power was diluted by half. With each successive generation, that power would have diluted further until it became increasingly rare.

this is the most logical answer to like a hundred different threads that have come out in the last two days. also from the title i thought you were saying that the fruit gives you like a constant 8 gates which dont kill you. i think that would make the fruit even more op and it could possibly do that as well.
