The Aburame Clan are supposedly one of the four noble clans of Konohagakure. Unfortunately, they have been neglected throughout the manga; thus becoming grossly underestimated by many. My aim with this thread is to exploit the Aburame's capabilities and prove that they're a top tier clan in Konoha along with the Hyuga and Sarutobi.

Aburame Clan; Exploited
General Information
As you all may know already know, the clan members of the Aburame use insects as their weapon during battle. The insects live within the Aburames body and surface out, where they're then able to be freely commanded by their hosts without any use of hand signs or chakra transmission. The clansmen are regarded and portrayed as tactical and analytical geniuses. This was perfectly demonstrated by two members; Shino and Torune. Exhibit A) Shino manages to always stay one-step ahead of his opponents at all times and is able to unnoticeably deploy his insects for an ambush [
Recon And Stealth
The Aburame are perfectly suitable for tracking and detecting an enemy. The most common insect among the Aburame, formally known as the kikaichū [寄壊蟲; Or Parasitic Destruction Insects] are able to sense chakra [
An alternate method an Aburame Clan member can take in order to learn the enemy's whereabouts and/or gain intel is through communicating with nearby insects. And it doesn't have to be the insects that inhabit their body. It can be any kind. This was demonstrated by Shino [
Another significant locating feat, that is worthy of mention, was shown by Shino; when he was able to find out the number of enemy's ahead by placing his head against a tree branch [
Now, not only are the Aburame proficient in tracking and locating, but with stealth as well. On a stealthy mission, in order to refrain from being detected via sensory abilities, the Aburame clan members are able to jam said abilities via
Also, the insects are stealthy themselves. As mentioned before, the insects commanded by the Aburame are often deployed to ambush [
Variety of Utilized Insects; And Their Capabilities
The durability of these insects are often horribly undermined, considering they have quite a few impressive feats in this department. A condensed swarm of insects in the form of a bunshin were able to completely withstand two kunais being shot at them from point blank range [
These insects have also shown to be able to clog up a puppets joints [
Offensive Prowess
On the offensive, an Aburame clan member is able to get out and deploy his platoon of insects within seconds [
Due note, that someone of Kakashis elite caliber mentioned that avoiding all these insects is simply impossible!
Once the insects are already spread through a general region, it is nearly impossible to get out. The next course of action, will be to
A terrifying technique, that restrains the target of movement, and sucks away their chakra until causing death. Without any sort of super-human strength or teleportation technique, this is almost a sure shot kill. And even if the target manages to escape, the insects would instantly picked up the direction they tried to escape to via chakra sensing and pursue [

While the Kikaichu are able to sense and absorb chakra, they also seem to be immune to poison. Shown when Shibi Aburame used them to draw out the poison out of Shinos body [You must be registered for see links]
- The Nano-sized, Venomous Insects [ナノサイズの毒蟲; Nano-sized Venom Beetles]
These insects are a special breed only wielded by a very select few of Aburame Clan Members and is considered as one of their most secret techniques. The only known users are Torune and his father Shikuro. Much like the latter, the kidaichu are a rare breed among the Aburame, due to being a difficult insect to maintain. Only shown wielder of said insects is Shino. The pain is so excruciating, that it completely left Fuu unable to move and defend himself, while the venomous insects were spreading throughout his body, gradually killing all his cells [

]. The only way to remove these insects is via Torune himself or through the antibodies that his father possessed. Another devastating and terrifying technique is the Parasitic Giant Beetle Infestation. A technique harbored by Shino that allows him to utilize the pesky kidaichu bugs; in which they burrow into the poor victims body and begin to eat right through flesh and grow rapidly in size until the host is completely eaten from their insides.[
