First off I have to give a shout out to for making the Sasuke observation.

You know how this goes, grab some Chips, a Drink, and a Sammich and lets jump right into this:

True Mastermind

Well this is something that I have hypothesised for a while now that has finally come to light. And that is that the Sage could be the original mastermind behind the Infinite Tsukuyomi. (If you want to see my Original thoughts behind this go )

Madara add's to this idea by stating this:

You must be registered for see images

"Trust in the power of the God Tree and use the Great Genjutsu" - We know that he got all his knowledge on said God Tree from the tablet. And thus he also gained the information of this Great Genjutsu from the Tablet as well.

This added to the things I bring up in the link above to me shows that the Infinite Tsukuyomi may have been a plan created by the Sage. Remember he had 2 sons who differed on how peace would be obtained, the Elder believed in Peace through force (Military Rule) while the younger believed in peace through understanding (Democracy). [BTW Guess which one Konoha uses, Konoha which was founded by the descendants of the younger brother, thats right democracy.] Now it is my idea that the Sage let the younger brother have his chance, but also passed down the Tablet as a means of relaying the information of the Infinite Tsukuyomi to descendants of the Elder brother, but only to those descendants who had proven to have the integrity to follow it out, thus requiring them have the EMS to fully read it.

And after reading the history of his past, and looking at current events, Madara had decided that the younger brothers way would not work. Let me show you something:

"Looking for stability a God divided itself into Yin and Yang. The action of these two opposing forces created all things in Nature"

Hashirama thinks this is a good thing meaning that if the Senju and Uchiha work together anything is possible. But remember that this message isnt meant for a fun loving carefree person like Hashirama. But for a person who has seen alot of hatred and pain in his time, enough for one to have awakened the EMS. And to a person like that:

You must be registered for see images
You must be registered for see images

And so to Madara what this means is that the Sages 2 descendants, his Yin and Yang, would be the key. There actions between each other would be synonymous with what all things in Nature are. And there was nothing but hatred and death between the Uchiha and Senju, and thus so is Nature. And even when they joined together:

Even when together he realized that cooperation was nothing but a silent fight. There dreams were nothing because the fighting and hatred would never end, "There are no real dreams in this world." And so Madara followed the Sages plan, to reunite the Juubi and cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi.

I would like to add that based on the fact that the Sage thought the tailed beasts would inevitably once again become the Juubi, it shows that he probably had little faith in the younger son. But rather he wanted to give the younger son a chance to try things his way, but left the Monument so that the descendants of the Elder son could carry out his plans if his suspicions were right.

Keep in mind that he spent most of his life journeying around and spreading the knowledge of Ninjutsu and trying to promote peace, all to no avail.

An Uchiha's Last Stand; The Final Act of Rebellion

Here is what I am thinking:

We see Sasuke kneeling down infront of everyone as if he is reading the Tablet, keep in mind that he too has the EMS and thus can read the entirety of the Tablet. Afterwards he takes of his coat and has a weird look on his face.

I am fairly sure by reading the tablet he now knows of everything, including the Sage's message. The only difference is that he has a different take on things. He spent his entire life believing much like Madara, that the world was filled with Hatred, hatred which he would need to manifest in order to defeat Itachi... But then:

Perhaps their is hope for this world yet, and perhaps the younger brother wasnt wrong. If Itachi had only attempted to reach out to sasuke and understand him then rather than deceive him then everything may have turned out better. And so perhaps deceiving the world with Infinite Tsukuyomi isnt the right choice, but rather work towards trying to understand each other. The younger brother too believed that peace could be achieved through understanding, which is exactly what Sasuke tried to do by reviving the Kages.

And then we have:

You must be registered for see images

And why is he going to the battlefield? Because he needs to stop the Juubi and Infinite Tsukuyomi at all cost.

You must be registered for see images
You must be registered for see images

Perhaps he even blames the Juubi for the curse of hatred that has been passed down ever since them?

You must be registered for see images
You must be registered for see images
You must be registered for see images

Conclusion

Not much to conclude:

1) The Eye of the Moon Plan was really orcastrated by the Sage

2) After reading the Tablet Sasuke has decided the follow the younger brother, and prevent the Eye of the Moon plan.

But more importantly it points to Sasuke knowing some details on this Eye of the Moon plan, more so than anyone else.

Enjoy the Read!

Thought the Elder brother wrote the Uchiha tablet telling the past events. If the Sage wanted to put everyone in a dream world when he became the Juubi jin like Obito he could've did that, but he didn't. This 4th war has been a catalyst for the nations to united once they stop Obito and Madara peace will be Obtained.

Impressive analysis. It certainly makes the actions Sasuke has taken make more sense. But how does that tie into his attitude towards Naruto? The split picture like its slashed by a sword? Why is Sasuke being protective of Naruto? IE wrapping him in Susanoo?

So Sasuke likely knows best how to throw a wrench into Obito's plans...and is waiting for the most opportune moment? If this is true it might just redeem his character in my eyes.

Nice theory. I don't think RS was evil, but he already had a solution for eternal peace, however he wanted to believe in his younger son since it would be a better option if it works.

Nice read! nice and thorough... no plot holes.. i like the theory too :)
i miss the "how he did it" part but that would probably be the only part i would create so yeah :p
I honestly do not understand why you put [FEAR] at the beginning of all your theories.
we know, could you stop talking about it now? your wasting valueble first page space ;)

the so6p was not a man of good or wrong.. he was a man of chaos.. it is the reason true power will be achieved by him that does have a strong resolve.. a young man the old frog thingy said.. a young man that would be jiraya's apprentice.. why do you think his sons are so radically diffrent in beliefs?

Perhaps that's why the Sage told the Bijuu those final words.

"I don't have long any more. Shukaku, Matatabi, Isobu, Son Gokū, Kokuō, Saiken, Chōmei, Gyūki, Kurama. Even though you have been separated, you shall always be together. Until eventually that time shall come when you will become one… You each carry a name… And with a different shape than you had up to now, you will be shown a righteous path, different from the time you spent inside of me. What is true power… …Until that time…"

Another quote:
"I am the one who will establish peace and order." - He taught people ninjutsu(Orochimaru, the desire to create the perfect human and bring peace). He obtained power in order to bring peace(Nagato and his idea of using power to control the world). He divided a god to balance the world(Hashirama, who gave the bijuu to humans to create peace).

Maybe he understood the path he was walking towards at the time of his death. Maybe he too saw a glimpse of the future(much like the toad sage), and understood what true power is from Naruto.
The whole "being the bridge that connects people" thing, mixed with his determination and his heart.

The Sage created the Tailed Beasts and sealed the Juubi when he was near death. Prior to that he journeyed around the world teaching people Ninjutsu and trying to start peace. But this didnt work and ninjutsu only served to make the warring more devastating and increase the tension and hatred amoung people. I believe this demoralized the Sage which is why he sided with the Elder son and thought we should force peace on the people through the Infinite Tsukuyomi. But alas he gave the younger brother the chance to chase the peace he once chased, and passed down his plans to the elders descendants so if the younger brother did fail, someone could carry on where he left off. I hope this explains why he didnt put the world in a genjutsu when he was young... which would be dissapointing as I didnt say anything that wasnt found in the thread above.

Naruto is Sasuke's Rival, and I dont know if you've ever had a rival but rivals are not always your enemy. They are just the physical manifestation of a platueu that you must surpass. I dont think Sasuke hates Naruto, but he does want to surpass Naruto. Also he doesnt want Naruto to die, because he wants to fight with Naruto. If Naruto died it would be like practicing your whole life to compete in the superbowl just to find out the the NFL was shut down.

Nice theory. I don't think RS was evil, but he already had a solution for eternal peace, however he wanted to believe in his younger son since it would be a better option if it works.
EXACTLY, I dont think the guy is evil, I can understand his point and his point of view. Here's a qoute "They say that the world is a fine place and is worth fighting for... I agree with the second part"

But the question is how does one fight for it? By going around and convincing people that hate each other enough to kill one another that there differences are petty? Or by putting everyone in a dreamlike paradise through Infinite Tsukuyomi so they can all truly learn to understand one another? You can argue which answer you like, but I dont think either one is wrong.

I honestly do not understand why you put [FEAR] at the beginning of all your theories.
Its simple and I have explained it time and time again.

I only make Theory threads. So to put [Theory] in front of all my threads is redundant... because I only make theory threads... and thus if I make I thread one would already assume it was a theory thread.

So instead of propogating the redundant I put [FEAR] in front of my threads, that way people who enjoy my threads can quickly find them in a forum wall filled with theories and opinions.

But i didn't invested too much time in that because i was too lazy and i think you covered up most of the things i wanted to say, so i would say GREAT JOB.

this is the tablet madara read

This is the one Sasuke read

Basically what I'm tryna suggest is that there are 2 tablets ... And they say different things

Also you need rinni to read the entire tablet ... Which is why madara took that tablet and made a different one??? I don't know but what I do know is that those are not the same tablet.... Those are two different tablets.

I refuse to believe that the sage was evil , I mean that's pretty dumbfounded ..... So he saved the world yeah that's real evil ... And the tailed beast look up to him because no human treated the tailed beast nicely only the sage of six paths and now even the tailed beast are like ( about naruto ) yeah he's the one ... Is naruto evil? No he is not so why would the tailed beast compare the sage to naruto ???

impressive stuff, and it sounds plausible. I'm just wondering how long does it take for you to formulate a theory and write it out like this?
To be completely honest, it depends on the thread. It normally all starts with a vague idea that I am not too sure of, or a comment someone else makes that I think is interesting. I do some brain storming and then see if the idea works, half the time the theory dies in the brainstorming process as i either prove myself wrong or it just isnt convincing enough. This part is normally all done in my head and doesnt take more than 20-30minutes although I am normally doing other stuff while I do it like playing games or watching tv.

But when I do get a good one it can take me anywhere from 40 minutes to even 2 hours to write, most laborious process is finding the scans so I hope you guys enjoy them. After that I proof read, post, the proof read again.

As is the way of NBase, you wouldnt believe how many times i make a thread only to find that someone made a similar thread a week ago. Glad you liked it though :)

its all turning into assassins creed
ROFL!!! =D

I think those 2 tablets are one and the same just for the fact that not many people have a Sharingan capable of getting into the room, an Uchiha has no reason to change the tablet and it would add nothing to the story plotwise as everyone who could have seen the tablet other than Sasuke is dead. And Madara/Obito has no reason to "trick" Sasuke.

Why is Hagoromo inside Naruto then?
Not sure, that question doesnt really have anything to do with my thread.
