Well, a lot of people seem to desire it. Obito, Madara, Kabuto, Orochimaru (all the bad guys I guess). But I donno, it seems like hes already accepted the fact that he can be immortal through the younger generations. Oro's problem was that unlike his brethren, he could not see that everyone is in their own way immortal. Jiraya, Minato, Kushina are immortalized through Naruto...Hiruzen through Konohamuru....Asuma through his child and Shikamaru...etc, etc, etc. Oro believed immortality could only be achieved through physically "living forever" but I think now realizes that he too can be immortalized by "helping the winds turn the windmill", instead of turning them himself...
